Ztech number ?
I don't have his number. But just to balance things out. He did a load of work for when he took it over from Ryan. He came across as a genuine guy who was trying very hard to deliver a good service. I judged him to be an honest guy at the time and a blessing when compared to the way his predecessor left affairs. OK. this was in 2008 and many things could have changed in his circumstances since then... but for all the good work he did for me, feel obligated to give him a 'prop.

300zx Drift/Track Car
there are a few, maybe about 10 that I'm aware of that are pretty track dedicated, or at least prepared with track use in mind. There are always going to be camps that say this, or that car is better. I'd say my NSX is a far better balanced track car... but is it more fun on the track than my Zed? Not sure I can say that. There are characteristics of the Zed the blow the nsx out of the water... and vis-a-versa. At the end of the day people have dreams based on personal taste, style and history. go with it, whatever it is :) having said that, although higher power, I don't think the Zed is the cheapest way to go.

Engine Electrics, possible mis-firing
Got up at 5:30 a.m. on Saturday to try and sort it. Coilpacks off, checking all wiring etc. Sorted!! it was a Bad connection on one of my coilpacks. Got the Zed running sweet, got to Japfest 20 minutes before my Track briefing... truly awesome time. Car pulled like a beast. very tough to keep tyres on traction in 3rd... it just wanted to constantly drift.... or was that just me? ;)

some japfest pics
Hmmm... Donnington... Chance I might try and make that.

Rolling Road result at 1 BAR...
I didn't check tyre pressue, nor have in months... so probably a bit low. Plus, the thing was hopping around the RR, trying to climb up the front Roller.... so imagine there was a bit of energy lost there. wasn't too fussed, but guess I could have got another 10 hp at the wheels out of it. I'm just chuffed that I prettty much matched my 2006 dyno figures but at 1.06 BAR vs. 1.4 BAR.... The car is ageing like a fine wine and only getting better? ;)

Surrey Rolling Road 450.5 at the wheels 464 lbs of torque @ 1.06 BAR

Rolling Road result at 1 BAR...
NOS & SantPod antics are like getting two very fit twins together for a day of fun! ;) OK..makes a bit more sense now. But 540 rwhp w/out NOS. = Awesome, very fine build you've got there! congratulations :2guns::gun_bandana::gunsmilie:

Engine Electrics, possible mis-firing
Bizzare! just Bizzare, if you didn't take into consideration I've got a tempermental car here.... Fire it up this a.m. after checking all the hoses, connections etc... runs pretty rough to start and then settles into yesterdays rough & rumble attitude. Even gives a couple subtle backfires as I'm pulling onto the back roads. Continues with the little gurggles and rumble run... so I figure I'll check boost. So I punch it to 1Bar. Get up to 1 Bar and think to myself "Well, that felt pretty good" Hokus-Pokus....make a wish, sir... ....instantly all back to normal !!??? Boosting sweet, purring like a kitten at idle, as well as on boost... well lets say a kitten the size of a train. generally running sweet, so I parked it up!! :). ** I know I'd be daff to think it's all sorted now.... but I'm not touching her until the a.m. and driving straight out to JapFest ( with a load of electrical tape! ) any thoughts.? **btw- thanks for the offer VodkaShots.. appreciate it, much.!

Rolling Road result at 1 BAR...
Dude! are you 100% your 583hp was at the wheels? I got 534 at the fly with 1.06 Bar... o.k. so my car was trying to jump off the Rollers/walking right up the front roller and yours was on a hub dyno... but still, that's a hell of a lot of difference in output. even if your 583 was at fly, @ 1 BAR your build still kicks the most *ss that I've seen or heard of in the UK But if you were running around 670hp at the Fly and 583hp at the wheels on 1BAR.... :gunsmilie::gun_bandana: well, short of NOS?? can't see that being duplicated again around here.... shy of some serious freak of nature!! :)

Rolling Road result at 1 BAR...
I'll have to look through receipts to see which RPS I have. Can tell you, it drives like a dream, and sooooo smooooothhh compared to the HKS triple-plate I had in there before. The HKS thing was so incredibly ON/OFF.... it was a true art to pull away from traffic lights!

Engine Electrics, possible mis-firing
So I take my car to the RR today and it's running super sweet. did give it a bit of of welly when I got closer to home, but don't think that something suddenly broke? There is a sound of what appears to be a boost leak coming from the gap between the engine and the cabin. but couldn't find any obvious disconnected or perished hose. Problem: Basically sounds/feels like it's got a subtle misfire. Instead of running smoothly, sounds more like a rumbling sound.. all through boost/acceleration. tbh the electrics/wiring is probably the weakest link in my car :( I Did a basic check on coil packs and connectors and nothing looks untoward. I'm going to give it another go tomorrow as I have to find the cause pretty quick if I'm going to go to JapFest on Saturday a.m. Any Suggestions? Anyone experienced Zed Mechanics near Berkshire that would have a look at it... if I brought it by tomorrow?? TIA

534.0 HP / 450.5 at wheels @ 1.06 BAR boost Not sure what others have got at around 1 bar (people don't seem to list it anymore)... but thought that was a pretty good result.

Post-Tsunami Japan Tyre prices = ouch.!
Getting some AD08's for my NSX for... and apparently prices had shot through the roof. ?? pre-Tsunami it would have been around £640 fitted... now getting quoted £750 + fitment... :scared: dilemma... as I don't want other rubber on that car.... Am I having my chain yanked, or is this the reality right now? Anyone??

relationship advice please
Dude!... I was just about to write about the same thing Mick1!! except for the "took the time to read 5 pages of threads bit" I had a similiar situ in '94 just out of University. My girlfriend of 3 years... who I thought I'd spend the rest of my life with... moved to SanFrancisco and immediate fell for one of her new roommates ( Cannabalism! is never pretty ). I spent a year chasing after her like like a heart-broken puppy.... and she lapped up the attention like no-ones business. Clever "heartfelt" gifts, splurging on a trip etc.. Finally, I realized I was 'the mug'. Then, started being very strategic about what I said... Lengthened the Intervals In which I communicated, only talked about how much fun I was having... trying to be soo cool... guess what... I started to believe it myself! I got sponsored as a snowboarder, started making a little wedge, met a London girl at a Snowboard competition and dated her for 2 years... and guess what?? My ex flew to Vegas to try and shag me senseless into getting back with her. the night before my "now wife of 13 years" flew into town. Needless to say (*I didn't shag her btw) 13 yrs later I still get "take me back" sort of messages on my birthday each year. MATE>> GET over with it. She's with someone else, or at least playing games with your mind. Take stock in yourself, and the fact it is her loss. It will suck, big time. You will have trouble sleeping. You will think about her a lot and you will have more troubles sleeping. You will feel Sad :( = reality. Reality is that it usually takes anywhere from 6 months - 15 months to really get over a first love. and as soon as she thinks you are getting over it.... like when she's driving by and knows you aren't saying Hi and Calling... she will come back to try and put a spell on you. It's Textbook... and your comments on it ( I only read 1st page ) are textbook as well. k Therapy!!!??? dude, c'mon... get a grip on yourself and get out of her sphere.. Take up a new Sport/hobby and literally sink yourself into it.. ( An active sport hobby that challenges you.. i.e. Not Computer Games! ) .... If I were you... I'd get pissed off that she's in a complicated situ with another dude... that would be excess emotional Baggage for me... and not worth further pursuit. I know this will sound very superficial, but Go find some fresh produce that others haven't been man-handling ;) We are One and Only's, after all, and deserve better !! At least should think so, in your own mind!!!!

Exhausts too loud, or am I just too old!?
If I drive down a residential road in 2nd gear - with cars parked on either side... or sometimes just one side.. alarms go off. Don't do it on purpose and try to avoid it,, but it happens. Same with going to the grocery store... Can't reverse into a spot or.... you guessed it ; an alarm or two go off. straight thru pipes from each bank of my engine. pic. in rides section. personally I love the soundtrack on my 300zx & put a Tubi-style on my NSX... a very immature 42.

Been driving my Zed last couple weekends..
Let's play Golf Pablito! I haven't been on a course since November... you could probably, finally, win your money back! :whistling:

Been driving my Zed last couple weekends..
No.. not to Surrey RR yet. Just keeping it under 4,000 - 4,500 rpm's at the moment. funny, huh. I did sort out the Spring issue on the throttle bodies... but haven't ordered the special spark plugs yet. Still pulls nice. There are no hicups or burps or anything.... so probably could give it some welly... but erroring ont he side of caution until it's mapped properly. -Going to JapFest... so all will be sorted for the track time ;)

Jump Connection behind front number plate.
I guess the previous owner did it, as it's keyless entry only. batter died in the last week... so had to jump it this a.m. works well.
