  1. I think he is friend with someone else who is friends with that person, thats why he sees the pics, and you dont..if that makes sense..FB settings area pain!lol
  2. thats a funky looking spacesaver
  3. Really?the workmeisters are my second choice at the min lol,but it depends what colour i end up spraying it..they both really suit ....Its harder without it sitting at the right stance to choose.they also both sit well without much arch work,i have an arch roller and may roll the lips anyway. The rays are brand new, never been bolted to a car, they are forged two piece splits, with billet/carbon centre caps, and are gold from the factory, but not the standard Volks/Rays gold, theres a tuning company in Japan called 'Topsecret',famous for their crazy horsepower supras and skylines, and this is their trademark gold.Me and a good mate of mine seem to spend all out hard earned on wheels lol,you should see my mates place..hes got s1 meisters in 15 inch /16/17/18" lol.Try on zilvia.net,if you like dished rims, youll love it there :) HAHA,yeah ,i NEED rear crystal lights lol, some guy in Japan though it would look good spray tinted black on them, till it went yellow and cracked up-the tinting spray tin was still in the car when i got it lol!!Summer 2011,its gonna get fixed up :P
  4. put a battery on it and a half turn is all it took to start!,been stood outside over the winter, hasnt been running for around 6months...Ive promised myself now to get it done up for the summer!lolThis year for sure. The tyres were flat on two rims, and wouldnt take air 'cos theyd come off the bead, had to remove them to re-seat them,so while i was at it,i tried on some wheels to see what look im going for.The chrome Workmeisters are 19x10,the gold Rays are 18x10,ofcourse its on a woodenblock so you have to 'squint ' to imagine what itll be like dropped to the ground on coilovers!:hammer:
  5. i did,,late start for me,just aswell its Sunday..lol
  6. Haha ,love it!Hes a tit, but a cool dude,2and a half men is one of my fav shows,he got fired from it didnt he?then re-hired?
  7. :shock:This is news to me,i thought we all had to endure not being able to open the door without chaffing our necks or unclipping the belt first..I like the Fairlady being awkward, reminds me of driving an american car.
  8. These crystal lights look nice, where did you find them?
  9. is it April 1st yet? This is deffinatley somebody from on here having a laugh...lol!I hope he sells them..If he does,Im gonna paint mine pink and put Oboe stickers on them....
  10. Excellent! Can you PM me his email address? Thanks!
  11. Graham,I got the sample today and Ive just sent a bit of it to the supplier,I think its an easy one to match, but will let you know between now an Monday what they say anyway. Thanks mate.:thumbup1:
  12. Hes just starting out on doing small jobs for himself, theres no point in him splashing out on ££££ on equipment,, he may never get the knack of spraying?I dont know Gonzo mate -you might be better than me someday lol!,but for the moment, start small is my opinion.A(what i would call decent) workshop compressor will set you back 5-£600 starting price, but you can get something suitable much much cheaper and get the results you want.airfed masks are £150+,filter/regulators are £30+,guns £25++,airlines£15+,its not cheap, thats before you buy 2k paint /activators/primers/lacquers etc etc. Most guns these days have stainless tips and needles,so they are suitable for waterbased paints, but waterbased paint is a PITA to use at home,it needs air movement to dry,and blowing air in a home spray enviroment is usually a no-no because of contaminants being blown up and settleing in the paint.Theres nothing nicer than dust and grit trapped forever under a shiney coat of new clear.Cellulose is easy to use,but harder to find and nowadays, even if you find a supplier of celly, alot of modern colours arent availiable in it so it will be basecoat or 2k youll be using, and its dangerous stuff, its a killer, most masks you can buy dont stop the poison getting into your body, thats why we wear an airfed mask,it goes in through your skin even,so be carefull. But ,for small parts, like a wing,in a well vented place, youll get it done.Buy the basics and see if its your thing, then you can upgrade.
  13. if your going to be spraying large parts ,like a bonnet, particularly metallic colours, you want as large an air tank as poss, the smaller 50litre and down compressors run out of puff sometimes mid flow, not good if its a metallic,if you have to wait for air pressure to build up,you wont achive a consistent coat. You have a choice of gravity feed or syphon feed with guns, some prefer one, others prefer the other lol,if youre buying two,go for a largeish needle/tip on one ,say a 1.8 and a 1.2 on the other. The 1.8 is great for heavy primers (and getting overspray dust on everything nearby lol)You dont need to go fancy, spend around £30 on each gun.I have cheap n cheerfull guns that when set up correct work nearly as nice as the £300 Binks gun I got 18+ years ago when i first started painting for a living. If you get a decent sized compressor, theres 101 uses for it other than spraying,so its a very handy bit of kit to have:cool3:
  14. Its for a stripe I want on another project car of mine,a ford capri, didnt want to ask on a capri forum incase my idea gets nicked before i get mine on ! I know what i want but dont have any suitable programs installed on my PC.Plus id take forever to do it lol.i can show you the graphics, but they need to be doctored/altered,using the same font, something i can give my local vinyl guy to cut for me.Anyone,or anyone know an easy to use program?
  15. Glad you liked it lads :) PM replied Keith
  16. the scrappys (gypsys) that call round my garage afew times a year buys old alloy wheels, batteries and rads usually pays me £25 for small cats,puntos/clio size, but he says he'll pay more for the large ones- can be up to £50,ive not had any of these yet tho.Dont settle for less than £20 -£25 (min!) anyway.
  17. itll last for 122 days! :D
  18. My fav colour for a zed is black, but there are loads of them.Ive never seen one in a light metallic blue, like subaru ice blue or ford paris blue?
  19. Cool!I'll have a few trials im sure,to get the mix right, but that sounds v.nice! Ill PM you 2moro:thumbup1:
  20. Yeah, will do but Im not sure what you mean by black/red Daz,do you want a mixture of red/black fibres in the same area so its black with a hint of red on close inspection?Or am i way off the mark?lol
  21. haha!!I saw a car at the Paris tuning show afew years ago with exactly the same kind of orange furry interior!Ive got pictures on an old phone somewhere,I want a 70's chevy van with that fur in the back lol!!!
  22. I dunno Graham,Anthony arranged his own carrriage,it wasnt the couriour I have an account with that delivered.I think the boot plastics weigh in at 4kg(in a heavy card, foot and a half by 2foot cubed box)Call 01463715843 to get a quote from them. :)
  23. They arrived today bud, will send a snippet of the fabric to my supplier tonight, they have 4 red shades,so Im quite confident theyll have what youre after.Itll be Monday before the black flocked parts are ready.Ill probably drop them off at the courior depot if Im in that area Monday affa,if not you can contact them to arrange a collection, will let you know:thumbup1:
  24. my motortrade policy is due for renewal at the end of the month, its gone up around £80 since last year,i cant be bothered shopping around though as theyre sound to deal with, also one call for a quote to these other companies and they're bugging you forever more.Wait and see, after this chaos in Japan, the insurance will go up,most of 'our' insurance companies are internationally owned.
  25. I just finished watching the whole movie online lol,its very chavy!!Mind you ,it was afew year ago..but it wasnt as bad as i though it would be,lol, got better towards the end ,nice capri, but that zed mustve had a micra engine in it,theres no way that lameass sierra would have had any chance otherwise haha!
