Hi All, sometime back I asked about a miss fire I had under boost. Last night I finally fixed it. And as I said I would report back when I fixed it, here it is. As the engine twists slightly under hard acceleration the connectors onto 1 or 2 of the coilpacks were being slightly pulled apart from the coilpacks. I knew my clips were duff, but as they seemed to sit nicely I thought they would be OK. And everytime I checked they were sat properly onto the coils. Wrong. I have made some ropey looking brackets that use one of the bolts from the coils to secure them, these clips hold the connectors onto the coils. Result, my car has never run better. I can now buy new connectors.....And think of all the time I have wasted when I really should have known better.

As above, is there some way to check these to see if they are working but not properly? As in a certain resistance or something?

Might be hard, now he knows he is on to a hiding (well sort of) he will be shy. And he would not play on the bends anyway. His £22.000 against my £5000, and he got no where. LOL.....

Chased an R34 GTR last night, he runs 1 bar with an exhaust and we were equal, but mine has found a misfire again on high boost, so without the missfire I would have just had the edge. As I know him I do know he was trying his best, and I could hear it too. So, I guess mines about right?????

Hi, bit of a funny question this, but how do I find out (without a dyno or go to Santa Pod) if my car is performing as it should? It has no flat spots etc, pulls well, no missfiring etc. Compression is good, burns no oil, uses no water etc etc etc. But, I find myself wondering just how fast it is. Running just over 1 bar of boost, on new NIssmo 555's, JD chip, APexi, single exit pipe with cats. SWB TT manual. Running 19' with 265 on the rear it will spin its wheels, straight line, dry road just by giving it a load of throttle at say from 10-15mph (ie no clutch dumping) Any thoughts from those with a similar setup to give me an idea? Please and thanks

Cant beat 19"'s for the looks, and the ride is fine too despite what some claim.

And I have a "manual conversion kit" on its way that I no longer need so its for sale..

Hi, have found a series 2 with its heater controls that I want to fit into my series 1, apart from the control and the ecu do I need anything else? And where is the ecu and how do I identify it? Please and Thanks Cheers

I agree with AndyP, but you should not have to pay for their lack of knowledge/experience.

Sorry, been on holiday. I will not break it, only sell as a complete unit, and then pref with the injectors in. As for is it good, yes. No problems at all, running fully synthetic Castrol, change once a year as I do little miles. Will need to think about it but PM me if anyone is serious please. You can (If I sell) have a drive etc.
