The converter takes no time to fill, and running it from park through the gears at a standstill wont make it any warmer either, it needs almost the correct amount of oil, then a gentle road test, and then check the fluid again. If its like every other auto thats, warm, running in park or neutral, on level ground. Checking it in the morning is a waste of time. Autos fall out of gear when there is not enough oil in them, or the filter is blocked because then loose pressure. Simple.

I wish someone who KNOWs would settle this "no cats and it kills your turbo seals" once and for all. I for one find it hard to believe. Anyone?

A loud pump can mean a new filter is needed.

Two strokes dont actually need back presure, what a well tuned 2 stroke gets is a pulse of pressure which goes from barrel to the end of the expansion chamber (if your lucky) and then reverses back towards the engine and then reverses again when it gets to the barrel, this second change of direction creates a low pressure area behind it as it goes for the next load of exhaust gas to exit into. I was told this by a clever man who raced them.

If the steering wheel shakes its the front wheels, if the car shakes, its the rear wheels, probably. Should allow you to narrow it down a bit.

And, remove the center steel tube before you try and fit the new ones

I think you will find the 200's use the cooler that looks like a normal rad, it goes infront of the rad.

You will be surprised how much noise a blocked filter can make. Good Luck

it may not be too late, a good flush, (hard to do properly, almost impossible incar) and clean the filter with new fluid might help. Normally I feel that if your filter is blocked the box has had it, but you may have just spread round mucky oil, so maybe, just maybe.

I nearly ran Grace Jones over in Londom once, she had the cheek to be walking on the pavement! Boy, did I get a dirty look.

Hi All, if you have Mcgard locking nuts and loose the key, contact Mcgard and if you send a digital photo of the bolt/nut, and some id they will supply the right key for you. Very handy as they are impossible to get off any other way..

Its not the performance you need worry about so much as the filters ability to "filter". Apexi were good, and if I remember blitz were bad.

I agree, and one problem as I see it is you fitted another box but didnt clean the old oil out of the converter and the oil cooler. So all of the muck is spread around again.

No sensible person can argue against cameras in town, schools etc. But there is no way to stop the government other than mass objection or mass damaging of the cameras not in town. As has been said if all the forums got together this would be a lot of voices but I feel the government will still ignore us. Why? Because they can, and do, and get away with it.

A long time ago, when radar guns were first inroduced I was a friend of a traffic cop, he told me that the home office, ( I think) said they would not be used in the dark. This also got "lost" with the other promises on when they would. would not, etc etc use these devices. Its all crap and we can do nothing legal about it.

If caught with a jammer you need to show you have a "proper" use for it. Also the laser gun shows up as "fault" so the old bill suspect something, and if you are the only car they are pointing at they get upset. The better ones jam once and then switch off, to hide sort of, having done their job. It was all on TV a few weeks ago.

are you sure you put it in D to take the reading?

Unless he is welding with gas I assume?
