  1. Try the microsoft one its much better. http://maps.live.com/ Google shows an old transit i was welding, no z
  2. Gotta post mine up now! This was my first car!
  3. get some pipes made up and top mount them like me!
  4. IL ZX, There is no oil temp sender on a 300zx. you need to get a sandwich plate between the oil filter and block. Then fit the aftermarket sender that came with your gauge.
  5. Steam or smoke mate? Water doesn't make smoke lol! i topped up the oil once and spilt a little bit forgot about it and started the car a couple of days later, got smoke from the top of the engine for 20min unitil it had burnt off.
  6. Does the webmail work? I have tried sending emails to and from my hotmail account to here but nothing comes through either way? Ed
  7. Ta greg. Im going to do it from the top if i can reach as my rad and water pipes are all out at the mo.
  8. Looks like a very good car for 2500, the mods he listed alone would cost that!
  9. I took the water pump wheel off to get at a bolt i dropped behind it. Now I cant get it back on so will have to loosen the alternater! :headvswal Can it all be done from the front with the rad etc out or will I have to jack the car up. I can see the very long bolt on the swing part of the alternater bracket but this is very loose already? What do I have to do to loosen it so I can put the belt back on? Thanks, Ed

Right then... I'm up for this, but dont fancy taking the z for a number of reasons. My Insurance is uk only, fuel costs, it would probably break down or I'd kill it on the track! Spoke to my mate today about taking him and his golf gti, he will be back to me with a definate answer in the next few days. If he pulls out I will be looking to be a passenger with one you lot! Paying my way of course! Can we put up a list of who is going again?
  13. I borrowed one, then bought it. Just made a boost leak detector from my old broken maf, some wood, a car valve and exhaust seal!
  14. I have both fitted as my dv's are top mount. What i'm saying is swap test the maf but your prob sound more like a boost leak.
  15. I had this, felt like the whole thing just lost power above 12 psi. Was a faulty recurc valve causing a boost leak which only occured above a certain psi. Defo worth swap testing the maf tho as it only takes 2min, mine died after heavy rain but the hesitation was there above 3k rpm reguardless of how much boost i was running when maf was burnt out. HTH
  16. I got one from smithy, he ordered it from the states which took about a week
  17. Your mrs did it? Get her to sell a kidney to pay for new rims, cut it out yourself with a rusty spoon!!! I think it depends how deep it is. They are only dipped in chrome, so can be repaired and redipped.
  18. Pete they look absolutely stunning mate. I took my rad etc out this morning before work so I will get the water pipes off tomorrow morning and be round with the dosh and pipes after work. They came up so much better than I expected.
  19. This is ed davies's car, you can see where they go. There is no cutting needed, they directly replace the lower hard pipes.
  20. It looks quite tidy, probably been looked after but its an auto n/a. Not worth 7k unless it has about 10k miles on the clock
  21. Tizer had them custom made in Japan after he imported her. I have seen one other car with these pipes on, Ed davis's car But thats it so they are pretty rare.
  22. Just seen these in the flesh and they look even better! Can't wait to start putting her back together - Pete your the best! :duffer:
  23. it probably wasnt his lol
