  1. Turns out the water gauge had, broke and worked intermittantly, same after changing the inverter. I bought another water gauge and then my new boost gauge started doing the same thing, was dull and flickering! thats 3 out of 5 gauges that have failed! I sent a right long stroppy email to the Gaugeplace as i got the boost gauge from them. The bloke Nick replied within an hour saying he had only had about 2 out of 200 el type gauges back and the ones i got from ebay will be copys that have not passed gc testing. He very kindly sent me a new boost gauge and the other two for only a tenner each. I checked the boxes the new gauges came in and sure enough they had holograms on them which the other ones didnt! Hopefully i wont have probs with the new ones and I will have a matching dash again. Thumbs up to Nick at the Gaugeplace website!
  2. Great kit, it makes a massive difference to the feel of the car. That one is the same as mine as is very well made, good quality. The circlip sits the the groove which i have put an arrow to. It holds the inner gator is place. You could still fit the kit but you might be risking debris getting into the ball joint and making it feel rough. I got the circlip in my kit and the whole thing came from 800rwhp on ebay. It took me about an hour to fit and can be done all from the top, be ready for some swearing and bleeding knuckles tho :) Get on the email and get the seller to send you the circlip
  3. Copy and paste the list from the last page with your name included, that it. I might not be in the z next weekend but will come along anyways :( She has a vaccum leak that i'm struggling to find and im working all next week. Also i dont have a garage and it wont stop raining. Im changing the starter motor on a laguna at the mo which is a proper bitch to get to, And it f*&ing raining again!
  4. hey Nath, you coming to the meet next weekend?
  5. dont you have to retake it every 3 years? I think thats what put me off if i remember correctly
  6. alpine 6x4s in the rear and pioneer 6x9s in the front doors. It is quite easy to mod the front door cards. I did find that i couldn't fit the grills on the front speakers tho as there is not quite enough room.
  7. I always have to check under the car before dropping the jack down as almost half squashed one of them once. Stupid thing sat under the sump just as was dropping the car back down!
  8. i have 4 of the little gits. was my main reason for getting a car cover, then they can sit on it all they want. Worst time was when car was on stands and cat went to jump onto it, car was higher than usual and cat misjudged it = claw marks. :headvswal
  9. Subcribe and pm our resident importer - Import-ance
  10. You can paint them chrome while your there! - looks wicked imo
  11. You can fit a z32 maf to a 200sx with a few mods. The water may have burnt out the maf but the car should still start without it. When mine burnt out the car would drive ok but was overfueling
  12. is it the gixxercart, the one that ringmini built? sorry proxy blocks youtube at work :(
  13. just tried that quote thing - wow got it down to £750 fully comp, protected ncd, all mods declared much cheaper than what i paid
  14. pitty im only 23 so cant drive other cars for another 2 years, even with a fully comp policy. When i was 18 i had a tpft policy that said could drive other cars! Got an xr2 in the mrs's name and drove that. Got pulled over and the police said I wasn't insured as was only a tpft policy. They had a right go at me, offered to let them follow me back to show them the document. They said they were charging me with driving without insurance. Took my policy to the police station the next day and the copper that pulled me was on desk duty. She was so apologetic! Pity now the law has actually changed and you cant drive other cars till over 25 grr
  15. not by much. Put it in your mums name then you will be able to get classic insurance
  16. put it in your mums name on a classic policy
  17. I have been wanting to take my z on a skidpan for ages, just to see what happens and find the limits in a safe environment. I tried a few places but none would let me use my own car :(
  18. Thats what i mean, the expensive bits have been done, as long as they are done well Na's arnt do expensive to fix as you have no turbos to worry about. As long as the body kit isnt a diy job then its worth the money, you might be able to knock him down quite a bit if it doesnt sell on ebay.
  19. It may have a few probs but you could spend some time sorting it out. Manwell conversion and flowed heads etc, uprated clutch. As long as the paint and bodykit are done well, would be a very nice car when done
  20. if they were very wet then could be flooded. Might be worth leaving all the plugs out overnight to let the fuel evaporate. Main thing is to check each new plug sparks, then you know all your connections and coil packs are ok etc, including the ptu.
  21. might be worth a look but a long way to look at a pile of rubbish if its been done badly. If you ask nicely, someone from here might go look at it for you if they are close to it
  22. change the rest! and check each one sparks while they are out
  23. I do like those wheels tho, sorry i am sad! they would look good on a black car i rekon
  24. There is a broken lime green one on ebay at the mo. looks quite good imo, nice wheels, pity about the interior tho
