  1. Nice one Nick. I use an original xbox, with the xbmc dashboard. xbmc kicks ass, I stream video from my pc over the lan and it never misses a beat. It will play absolutly everything i have thown at it so far. It will even mount iso and nrg (nero) images and play them as streaming video, never jumps or looses audio/video sync at all. All my videos are on a raid array on the pc, separate to the hdd running the os so doesnt interupt the pc much either. Would definatly recommend xbmc, you can have a very nice media machine for around 50 quid!
  2. mmm I would be interested to see how xbmc handles the hd codec, burn us one off for sunday mate :)
  3. spent £45 doing santa pod and back which is 184miles. doing 80-90mph on the motorway. just worked it out 17.5 mpg

  7. Its easy to check if the heater is bypassed. There are two pipes that go through the firewall to the heater. They are at the back of the engine, behind the balance bar etc. They are a few cm down, under the wiring loom etc. These metal pipes should have rubber pipes connected to them that dissapear through the firewall. To bypass the heater you connect these two metal pipes together directly, bypassing the heater system loop. Should be easy to tell if its bypassed.
  8. at least i'm not alone lol
  9. We really do need to start a garages black list me thinks Would we not be breaking any laws if it was in the private section? Anyone else checked thier steering column yet?
  10. What distro you thinking of using? I would recommend suse or ubuntu. Both support most hardware including bluetooth and wifi etc and use the kde gui which is windows like. The only thing you may struggle with is drivers for any less mainstream hardware you may have.
  11. Yeah, not a huge amount of movment on mine but slightly worrying! I saw Greg was selling a steering uj joint,, not sure if its that what needs replacing. I saw it first! Can a few other people check thiers? pls
  12. I was messing about in the car and discovered the steering column as some play. Not noticed it before as there are no vibrations coming through the wheel and it feels fine when driving. The whole steering column moves about 5mm in each direction horizontally if pushed! There is no vertical play what so ever, just horizontal. The whole column moves including the ignition barrel etc. I take it this is not normal?!
  13. its a nice tax dodge lol no really, the air suspension on it is amazing

  20. Kirbs, i noticed the other day that there are black scortch marks on my silicone pipes, they are about 2cm away from the exit of the dump valves. I take it this is normal, just heat?
