No fuel / low fuel pressure / dirty fuel No air / flooded / big vaccum leak No spark / ignition / ptu / wiring harness and connectors / coilpacks / plugs No compression / head gasket / loose plugs / worn rings Timing / cas id go down the spark route first

You need fuel, air, spark, compression and timing thats all so yeah lots of things

over fueling wont do too much and it wont dett. lack of fuel is the main thing to avoid. as that will cause it to dett

Whatever you do DONT get an xda mini. They are crap as phones and crap as pdas! IMO The k750 i had was well good, hard as nails, dropped in all sorts when being used as torch while under the car, never missed a beat.

Should normally start on 5. could well be the ptu, id try swapping it for a spear before buying a s2 one. If your changing the plugs then you can test the spark to each cylinder when you take the old ones out

Thanks for the offer. I'm 99% sure its a leak as can hear it hissing and my vaccum is well low on my gauge and boost controller, about 30% lower than normal. I have a greddy infometer which is a bit like a conzult and it shows the a/f mix is much higher than normal, confiming lack of air. 0 ecu errors. O2 sensors all working fine etc. Its just really annoying as i cant seem to find the offending pipe. :headvswal I might try making a leak detector from a coke bottle and car tyre valve, pump air through it to find the leaking pipe. I know this works with boost leaks, but can anyone tell me if it works with vaccum leaks? The car still boosts fine

Finished putting my new seats in and rebuilt a motor on one, all good. Still got the B@*ted vaccum leak and i cant find it! My vaccum is way low and its messing with the a/f mix. Can a boost leak detector find vaccum leaks as well? Can anyone lend me one, please!!!!

My car was running sweet. Drove 20miles to work all good. Moved the car from one car park to the other and it was idling lower than normal, about 800 rpm (normally about 950), also missing slightly. I drove it home and ran on full boost from some of the way, it drove fine and pulled very well. Got home and still the idle was poor. Started her today and the idle was down to 600rpm once warmed up and almost cutting out, defo missing on one side. Drove about 200m to turn the car round and it drove fine again. Not changed anything at all since it was running properly. I think can hear a hissing around the brake booster pipes (which i did change about a month ago), but the brakes and clutch work fine. Oh yeah when it was struggling to tickover the vaccum was reading low, much lower than normal on my boost controller. oh and no errors on the ecu Vaccum leak i take it? Anyone else got any input?

yeah i thought that, it all seemed to stay in line execpt the rear hight adjustment i already sold my old seats! Gonna give my mate a ring and see if my old working one does the same off the car

Took my seats out today and found 120 Yen! Does that mean I am rich? I'm Guessing not! The wiring is done, was very easy tbh. Used some good thick wire to connect the power from the drivers side to the passenger seat. I will just have to remember not to adjust both seats at the same time or it will probably take the fuse out. Just got to plug and bolt in the new seats tomorrow. I gave up for today as it started getting dark and raining again! Only problem a think i may have is with the drivers seat. We connected the seats to a battery to figure out the wiring and found that the rear hight adjustment only one side works! The front height adjustment both sides work, my mate rekons it could be because it was not bolted in, might have a bias system or something? Anyone know the answer to this, do i have a faulty drivers seat? I guess i will find out soon enough!

Yeah i have that problem, kid has to sit in the front on his booster seat and the mrs in the back! The rear bucket type seats fit him perectly but the law is the law.

mine is getting a good wash right now as its pissing it down! hope it stops by tomorrow so i can put my new seats in

that engine did save the world tho, the merlin engine was in everything we had pretty much - cant beat that can you, saving the world and all! The one in the rolls was in the 80s wasnt it clarkey? And didnt they use a chassis from a bus? But it did like 200mph or something silly.
