Yep get it checked, it should have weights, they are normally a circular bit of metal about 50p size, attached to the side of the tube at each end. A bit like balencing a wheel etc. Oh yeah also check the alignment of your gearbox in relation to your diff. I now have a forged engine waiting to be dropped into my car :)

I bought My prop from MJP, got it on the cheap as it was sold to me as faulty. It had been made too long and needed shortening. I took it to be shortened and took the oem prop with me as reference. Got it back and they had shortened the tube to the exact length of the stock prop. They had also balenced it etc. Put it on the car and there was a nasty vibration 70-80mph. I took the prop off and gave it back to them, they said it was in balence but bent, out by 3mm end to end. They bent it back and rechecked the balence, I fitted it back to the car and couldnt belive how smooth it was! 1 week later my piston rings failed! :(

The main thing they do is channel air into the intercoolers, wont make much difference to the water etc, but nissan put them on for a reason

tbh, if you cant find the make / model / chipset of the modem then would be easier to just buy one. Can get a white box pci modem with drivers cd for about a fiver.

I reckon the z is as reliable as any other 15 year old turbo car, its just much more difficult to work on imo

Mine were custom cast in Japan and they are very rare. Nissan dont make a part for this as far as i know. You might get something like it in a dv fitting kit tho,

what you mean the small plastic kind you get with boost gauges etc?

i have gone back to normal plastic black caps. My ebay Z ones got rusted on, had to replace two valves.
