  1. no he will make them from scratch!
  2. there is no actuator on the drivers side on the stock z, only on the passenger side. on the stock car there is a switch in the key lock with activates the actuator on the passenger side to lock or unlock it. These dont usually fail as they are good quality. If you have an alarm fitted most of them include REMOTE central locking and you need a way of locking / unlocking the drivers door electrically. So... most alarm companys fit a cheap aftermarket actuator and they can totally jam in the shut position which is what happened to me and to you I suspect. I had to cut my door card to get it out and tbh i dont think you will do it any other way. I contacted my alarm company to get a new one and they said £50 + P&P. I then typed in the part number of it on ebay and found they were only a fiver! here is one.. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2-Wire-Slave-Door-Motor-Solenoid-Actuator_W0QQitemZ270143763913QQihZ017QQcategoryZ15329QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Once somehow getting you door card off or cutting into it you will find it mounted to the inside of the door near the very bottom right side (near seat belt if series one) with the rod attached to the door lock mechinism that moves the lock electronically. Its the two wire type you need, the wires will go to your alarm box to trigger it. The actuator moves the door key mech the same as you would with the key, this sends the signal to open the stock actuator on the passenger side. Hope this clears it up a bit, it will all become apparent when you have the card off!
  3. Who was it then, come on own up. I was driving on the A17 towards spalding / kings lynn at around 7pm last night. Road was wet but not raining at the time. There were about 3 lorries in front of me and I overtook two of them in the vectra before pulling in due to oncoming traffic, White Z overtook all 3 trucks and me! Doing approx double the speed limit and only just made it with about a foot on each side, swerved pretty hard to avoid oncoming car and almost lost it! Nutter!
  4. I'd have thought the 300zx would have broken down half way round!
  5. unlucky - yeah they are 99 and 30 install
  6. I have had sky for about 2 years now and having been consdiering canceling it as i always miss stuff A mate at work says ring them and say you want to cancel as your not around in the evenings. They will offer a sky plus box for 50 quid (normally 130), tell them its too expensive and they will offer one for free. Just rang them and got mine coming next week :) Yeah im tied in for another 12 months but the mrs would go mad at me if she lost her living tv anyways! Also swapped the music for news and events so can watch the repeat of the french drifting later on. All im saying is if you have normal sky and arnt really thinking of cancelling soon give them a ring and get yourself a free sky plus box!
  7. lol you wouldnt catch me putting my head under there with an ebay electric jack holding it up!
  8. yes but as i said clutch will last about a week if its stock and the brakes fade quick if used much id play it safe at 14, leave yourself a bit of room for extra in cold intake temps etc
  9. I would research the decat on turbo seals before you go ahead, use the search on here as im not opening that can of worms again!
  10. about 10 actually stock injectors can put enough fuel in for about 14.5 psi, 15 tops turbos run out of puff about 18 - 19 psi but they will get very hot quick without better intercoolers so 15 at the very most on a very healthy stock engine but get ready to change the clutch and brakes where abouts in the mids are you mate?
  11. me too, i used high temp orange paint as primer and then normal paint and laquer - no probs so far
  12. I think it will look wicked. I love the yellow 106 gti's with black wheels on even tho 106's arnt the best cars in the world
  13. Allen at autotech in belper sells compression testers for 23 quid, I'm gonna get one at some point as mine is broke. get subcribed!
  14. agreed, if you crash into the back of someone then its your fault unless they pulled out in front of you or a car behind pushed you into them. you should be able to stop in the space behind the car in front of you whatever the circumstances
  15. i got a brand new one to go in and the old one lasted 17 years so i think it should be ok!
  16. Hi legrath, do you think i could change my heater matrix and clutch booster with the dash in?
  17. Mark, i have had my air con removed so can i also remove the air con assembly from the dash, will it go back together without it?
  18. got clutch booster to do at the same time not so bad but i have a new headunit to go in at the same time and will probably have to rewire all my gauges again!
