  1. Hope I didn't come across as talking down to you:o
  2. That is only talking about the engine side of things, to make a well balanced car look at the forum as this is members giving you the benefit of their experience?
  3. Here's a list of things to maybe spend your money on, out of interest how did you choose 450-500rwhp? http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showpost.php?p=852902&postcount=3
  4. Which 6 speed were you thinking of using?
  5. I think they did some testing on the oz forum and no 6 receives the most air, leaning out the back cylinders:(
  6. Mac were the calipers modified in any way?
  7. Si the tarox got an absolute slating on zeds, going a fair way back!
  8. What duty cycle would they be running at 500bhp?
  9. An old mate of mine got arrested for those murders and released, I think it sent a shock wave through him and now I am glad to say he is a reformed man, I am dismayed at the glamming up films like this do to what are scumbag activites. I prefer "sexy beast", at least you see the true insanity of some of the people who run these activities and the trauma they can cause.
  10. Agree completely, the NA diff transforms the car totally, ok so you will only be able to do 150mph, but the 0-100 performance is staggering!
  11. Just tried the shift button trick, and it puts me into overboost mode which I have been warned against using.
  12. :o you don't read the instruction manual do you, they're for pooooofffsss :D To be truthful I fancy getting one of these and I am looking for an excuse :D http://www.optionimports.com/hksnewevcvib.html
  13. To be truthful living in London the opportunity for enthusiastic driving is limited so it is pointless running decent boost all the time.
  14. I can't believe you are selling it paul, it is the best finish on a Wide arse I have seen in the UK!
  15. Hi, I spend most of my time poodling around in the zed and like to turn the boost on high when I fancy a blast! My profec eo1 has to go through a menu and then select high boost and go from there, I know there is a high boost button availabel for this but I fancy a change! So what other boost controllers out there have a button just to select high boost?
  16. Hi Snowy, I don't think that idea will do it as water sits in the recess and the seal isn't designed to keep water out on the bumper side. I am thinking a bit of plastic underneath would redirect the water away from the filter. Jon I wouldn't like to change to blitz as this does not come out well in filter tests.
  17. Thanks for your good intentions snowy :) The problem is not with my AFM or connectors but the seal between the headlight panel and the bumper. I should really clarify the purpose of this thread as being a discussion and ways to cure it, and maybe highlighting a problem for others that are having a similiar problem and not for giving me alternative solutions for this hesititation :)
  18. It is not a continous problem only after rainfall, but I am thinking that it may be a factor contributing to the downfall of so many afms.
  19. Thats what I am saying the filter soaks up the water and affects the AFM
  20. I wouldn't really recommend the k+n as the oil used in the filter contaminates the hot wire.
  21. Maybe because the filters that don't have the problem are metal based whereas the filter that do have problem have a cloth/sponge construction. The trade off you have is the apexi comes out best in the tests, it is easily cured by putting a small seal above it!
  22. Are you talking about to protect from water coming up from underneath or dripping down form above?
  23. Hi, Don't know if I am on the right track here but I noticed on my car suffered from hesitation/stumbling after it had been parked up after rain. I had my suspicions and thought that the seal between the headlight panel and the front bumper wasn't up to the job. I wet the panel and noticed the apexi filter was wet when I took the headlight panel off, as it sits directly below that seal. Might try and rig up a temp seal to deflect water off and see how it goes!
  24. Thanks Pete for all the hard work :)
  25. I know there are some computer "enthusiasts" on here :D http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/159975/fujitsu-siemens-22-monitor-111-del-
