  1. Harve, I know you are a dab hand at engineering, but to take two wheels off your Zed is just plain crazy mate:D ;)
  2. Just to update you guys! Here is an email I received from my contact in Aon! Hello Mark, Just thought I'd drop you a line to let you now I haven't forgotten you. I've been trying unsuccessfully to touch base with a colleague in our Dudley office, in order to agree our informational requirements before exploring further the idea of a dedicated scheme for your club. Watch this space. Speak to you soon. Best regards.
  3. Cheers John, You tech guys will have to have a meeting to chew through what can and cannot be done with the site! If you want I will give you help with the tech articles, I think I have read most of them during my TT conversion!!!! Andy Duff is someone who has been talked about before and AndrewG knows a lot about what to do with the car!
  4. Hi, Rang Banzai Magazine today to ask about putting the club in their listings and asked if they would write an article on the club! They said if we wanted to write a 100 word piece on the club they would print it in their next issue! So guys if anybody here has any experience at writing articles jump forward, we also need ideas about what to include in the article?
  5. Fantasic guys, the more people we have with good ideas and the skills and willing to put them into action, the better! Roy thanks for the offer, let me find out about the server, even if we have one fully working it might be prudent to have one spare, for when the great IT god calls time or our one! Peter superb mate,I think your skills will be needed sooner rather than later at the moment! Herman and Matty cheers lads, Herman being an IT novice I will check if we need one of those items or if you want to drop Mike Groves a line as he knows what we need! Web Monkey sounds like a superb oppurtunity, we will have to consult with The IT guys, the commitee and the members as to what is feasible and what people want. Why don't you contact AndyP and Mike Groves and have a preliminary chat with them!
  6. OK guys About time to wrap this up, If you want the lines at the increased price of £25 all inclusive of VAT and P+P then send me a cheque to the Address in Club contacts page, by Friday 3rd October! IF YOU HAVE CHANGED YOUR MIND LET ME KNOW!!! AndyP AndrewG Jezz s13 for some S13 mutilsation, it might be easier Jez if you send me the actual fittings and tell me how long you want it? Geoff Ajay Magnum5 for two ChrisC Guys could you let me know as soon as poss if you want one or not! Jaffa PaulG
  7. Page 21, Max power buying guide!!!! Oct 2003 £5795 ONO thats a bit pricy:D ;) And its in the runners up section!
  8. Members, There has been a lot of talk of late about what should and should not be done with the Club/Forum! So here is your chance to make a difference, we need volunteers to make your forum what you want it to be! So tell us: What you want to do? What skills you have to contribute? How much would this cost? How many man hours would it take? What the effects would be for the club, negative and positive? We will then have a look at project and what you have to offer? Here's your chance to make a difference, your forum needs you!
  9. Hi Smithy, You go to a lot more shows than I do so if you think they are of the calibre where we could recruit more members great. I have committed myself to Trax and Billing, and I work 75% of weekends so committing myself to four weeknds would be problematic. Also the members have to decide whether they want to fund the expense of the 'official presence' and put the work in to man the Marque! I personally think that it might be a good idea to start at Billing and trax and then try others! Webmonkey, Thank you for the offer of help, at this point in time my brain is full and rejects any concept of taking onboard IT skills!! So to have some idea of what you can offer and how you can benefit the website, can you write it down on this thread so that the members can get an idea of what it is they might want or not!
  10. Thanks web monkey. So are you offering to redesign the whole site or the logo!
  11. Guys, The moderators and commitee like I have said in another have only been running the forum for six months! Give us a break, we are human, we do make mistakes! Things that have happened or are happening! Craig has handed over control to the mods and commitee members. The formation of an acceptable use policy for the club! Traders because of the above policy and Macs help have come back to the forum. Club rules are being formatted as we speak. Getting ourselves officially recognised as a club is being processed. Get ourselves insured as a club is under way Discounts have been arranged with the traders! Discounts are being arranged with insurance companies! Discounts are being arranged with Recovery companies! Liason with traders and the resolution of any conflicts that may occur is happening. Membership packs are in process! The club finances are being evaluated and an analysis of club funds. Forum has been redesigned! The forum IT is being maintained and updated! I am trying to liase with you guys at the moment and solve these issues This is just a list off the top of my head if you ask any person involved in the commitee they would probably add another 10 things to that! Guys this is a process it won't be perfect and you have a right to air your views but not to give abuse to moderators which has happened! We cannot take everybodies view on board at a commitee meeting, we have to analyse what we think the current opinon is regarding certain issues and then try to process them! If we analysed every opinion/idea we would be there for days and the workload created would be phenomenal. We understand the request for subs without an analysis of club resources has caused anger, but this is in hand and is being looked at! When we get an idea we have to examine it and then see how much time and money and effort it would take and would the membership want or appreciate it! It is easy to present an idea but someone then has to actually do it and thats what we need volunteers for! Off the top of my head at the moment we have vacancies for! Someone to design a new club logo? Someone to be in charge of tech write ups/FAQ's/how to's, Andy Duff your name has been bandied around regarding this, some people actually think you know what you are talking about:eek: I can see your passion for the forum and the car and though I feel that this could sometimes be expressed in different ways! We have been communicating with you but I think in the past this has been in a disjointed manner, maybe I can go some way to unifying the information and presenting it to you!
  12. Hi Smithy, I have also volunteered to organise Trax and Billing for 2004, I presume you mean organise the main meetings! What are the other two Jap shows you are talking about?
  13. Hi Guys, That position funnily enough was put forward by myself on the mods forum last night, I have volunteered for the role! But if someone else wants to help!
  14. I was thinking more of one without a roof!!:D ;) No Skip Jokes:mad:
  15. I don't mind the Z part, its just the dodgy picture of the zed next to it (no disrespect to the original designers):o
  16. Hi, Looking at our logo I am starting to think it looks a slightly dated, I have always liked the one on they use on the skyline forum, the one in the top left corner! http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/upload/index.php Anyway what do you guys think and is there anyone on here who is a dab hand at making a new logo and can put forward some ideas?

  22. Tell Stuart to come over this way to do the work to your car;) :D
  23. Guys ! This thread should be either moved to the muppet forum or put to bed! If you put the man hours you have contributed into this thread, into the forum, it would be a forum of donald trump magnitude! Would a moderator please lock this thread, it has nothing positive left in it!
  24. Yeah Shahid, Thats the one!
  25. Hi Guys, It has been suggested we met in the Collonade or Collonaise, by the Pizza Hut at 12.30 and then go for a little drive to somewhere more picturesque, the Grasshopper has also been suggested but it is about a 20 min drive! Anyone got any pubs that are closer?
