  1. Thanks Jock, didn't know that as we send the sets away for servicing.
  2. Yes mate thats ok! Don't you just hate the way he asks this after doing a 12.6 second quarter at the Pod :D
  3. Dave does that mean you can get hold of special silicon grease, with which to rejuvenate our leaking window seals :D
  4. There are different types of rubber on cars! Water hose is made to withstand heat. Fuel Hose is made to withstand excessive internal pressure. Oil Hose is made to withstand the usual corrosive effects of oil on rubber. The balance bar rubber could be made of the latter, but there is little point in taking the risk if you don't have to.
  5. Don't rub oil on rubber it destroys it, use silicone or autoglym
  6. I like it :D

  8. Moved because it is in the national meetings section!
  9. Can't find anyone who deleted your post, put it up again, all I can think is that it was a forum glitch!
  10. Don't know anything about it!
  11. Thats just cos you have had it resprayed :D
  12. I used to hate pulling into the barrier to a car park, getting out grabbing the ticket then running back before the barrier drops!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. I must admit I had a Left hooker once and I hated it!
  14. Some nice pics of a very rare car, for people who don't know Straman converted the hardtop Zed and it is thought, the inspiration for the convertible zed from Nissan! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=2493929555&ssPageName=STRK:MEBI:IT
  15. A very foolish thing to remove!

Another false statement like that Dave and you will get a ban, make sure you have facts, before you make accusations!
  17. Spot on Tooley!
  18. Neil why don't you ring up Houghton and ask them, it seems you need to have this discussion with Houghtons? I think the vast majority of members on here are happy with houghtons knowledgable service and prices, and if you work in the insurance industry you should know that no insurers can keep every niche of customers happy!
  19. I think the ecu temp sender deteriorates over time, I have noticed a difference when I replaced mine and there was no indication of a fault! Maybe a boost leak, since it happens after a roundabout, the leaning of the car accentuates the leak?
  20. Well done chunk and Jaffa! What gearboxe are you running by the way Jaffa :D?
  21. The end with the bleed screw is where the coolant enters the radiator! I think the size of the temp sender unit is what it is dependant up on, it's dimensions would dictate on what happens to the stock screw?
  22. JFYI, the rad cap deformed because there was a defect in the packaging for Koyo rads, this led to some being damged in transit knocking the rad cap out of true, Koyo have resolved the packaging prob now!
  23. Thanks for the advice guys, from ringing around and asking people's general advice it seems Koyo is the way to go! I am a bit wary of anything custom made Shahid, as opposed to something that is tried and tested, we will have to meet up again soon mate!
  24. Just wondered if this would be possible, if the bleed screw was converted to metal, or are the temp sender units too big to fit?
  25. Similiar Shape
