  1. JFYI some zeds came without ABS.
  2. Have to disagree with you there and it's a false economy to spend all that time and money swapping them, and not bother with the fuel pump.
  3. I wouldn't say fuel supply is a problem for the NA, I would say do everything and then check on a rolling road whether fuelling is an issue?
  4. Just for info, have done a bit of asking around and the correct route is either NA ECU with TT chip----stock NA Loom----NA fuel pump ECU----TT fuel pump TT ECU--NA Loom with third wire for the three speed pump--TT Fuel pump ECU--TT fuel pump To install the interior TT loom would be too much hassle!
  5. You haven't put the correct weight oil in the engine so it would be best to change that , it is common for oil from the old turbos to accumulate in the exhaust and when the engine and exhaust gets warm the oil soaked into the exhaust starts smoking!
  6. Fantastic James great to see the car this evening, looking forward to see what it does on the dyno!
  7. Not really, I am pretty sure john dixon can illuminate us :)
  8. Maybe there was a crossed line somewhere. Like yourself I was a little concerned about the whole loom/controller/ecu issue a while ago, something unfortunately I never chased up. IIRC I believe the only difference between the NA and TT ecu, is the ability to acitivate the boost solenoids to restrict boost in safety mode and the three speed fuel pump. So in theory it should be possible to run a TT chip in an NA ecu, unless anyone can suggest otherwise?
  9. NA loom but recently my car ran lean so I am wondering if the NA FPECU is the way forward and getting a TT Map put on a NA ecu.
  10. I am 99% sure you are pointing in the wrong direction but I need to know the answer to this as well, so thanks for bringing this up. Why don't you borrow the correct na componets to test your theory, the pump will prime as normal you don't have to fire it up just see if there is fuel there?
  11. I installed the TT fuel pump, fuel ecu and main ecu.
  12. For both TT an NA pumps, thanks Eric once again:bow::bow:
  13. While you have the page open ;), what voltage do the pumps run in high mode?
  14. Ok I suppose the only way to check is to get the multimeter out, and do some driving :) ?
  15. I can't seem to remember who has done one now:eek:
  16. Sorry to hijack, Eric do you think the car will need a different map as the fuel pump will only be on two speeds?
  17. http://www.ashspecz.com/ashspec/DualPumpController/DualFuelPump.htm
  18. I would double check with Ash in the US if I were you as he was doing a lot of development work on this?
  19. WHat diameter is it please 8ace?
  20. To be honest I don't think they can be successfully painted as they are too flexible?
  21. Have to admit I like the hatchback version in black, very nice anyone know what sort of mpg people get out of them or is that a daft question?
  22. You aren't giving yourself enough leeway there, as at 92 IIRC the ecu starts to arrest performance because of engine temp.
