  1. get a garden spray, fill it with diluted wash up liquid, spray it around the area and let the bubbles show you the way?
  2. You don't want to keep the hicas, believe me an NA diff is one of the best mods to a tt car
  3. It probably does overfuel in japan, but their fuel is much much higher in octane than the Uk.
  4. John Dixon and AndyP are the main suppliers, I should imagine they have spare ecus hanging around. Another culprit could be the fuel pump getting towards the end of its days, but uk fuelled chip should be done anyway!
  5. It could well be the mines ecu, they are mapped to run on higher octane fuel and you will be better off running a chip to run uk fuel.
  6. Couldn't find my contact cleaner lol, it was only a lickle bit! It seems better now but still comes and goes!
  7. If anyone can help I would be grateful? My charger just failed on my laptop and after squirting wd40 on the connections, laptop and charger, I managed to get it going again! Just in case it fails again, can I test the charger on any laptop or is each charger specific? BTW it is a dell inspiron!
  8. Less than two days labour is a bargain:bow:
  9. Just to confirm did you fit the add ons and they were straight plug and play?
  10. Is it quite easy to fit some of the extras yourself on the toad ie, shock sensor, microwave sensor, they just look plug and play?
  11. I find it very slow on my computer!
  12. Just out of interest Daz, how much do you charge for labour for changing one or both turbos?
  13. Fair point, you never get a rescue cat either!
  14. Have you got a link for those please Darkside?
  15. JFYI you can fill the car with slightly thicker oil and that should reduce the smoke!
  16. No worries, if it is the turbos then they take ages to fail usually and I think you would have a summers worth of motoring, or maybe a year depending on mileage before you would have to worry?
  17. Ummm not sure Si, would look better with a 99 spec rear end :D
  18. Have you checked how much oil you have in a little overfill can cause this, or the front pcv hoses, I presume andy changed them, if the disc in the hose has moved inside them it would cause smoke on startup!
  19. Toplessz32@hotmail.com email them to me?
  20. The other one isn't included ;) http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=471031
  21. I really don't want to clog this gents problem thread discussing cause and effect of bore wash, if you wish to quiz me some more then please pm me?
  22. Here are some diagnostics that you should carry out and will help with your dilemna! Boost leak test Conzult Fuel Pressure test Ignition timng check Compression check If you do a search on the forum there are many threads with these procedures being detailed? One small question have you replaced or had any work done on the injectors at all?
  23. I think there may be a crossed line somewhere. I did a search for "bore wash" "start up" and "blue smoke" and got naff all! Bore wash can occur at any point of an engine's lifespan! Bore wash does not cause blue smoke on starting, if it has damaged an engine's rings they will give low compression and possibly blue smoke all of the time! There is so little oil on the bore walls once the rings have passed over them, that for petrol to wash it off and burn it on startup would be difficult! Petrol dilutes the oil on the rings and causes them to wear prematurely, the petrol also thins the engine oil causing it cause wear in the rest of the engine as well!
  24. Sounds like typical Gov hypocriscy, the greenest car you have is the one you already own!
