		Just Subscribed

you're welcome... still don't have access to the subscribed members only areas... Unfortunately/fortunately I'm moving to the US (Atlanta) about 25 mins from a certain US specialist Vendor... but I need to sell up to move... so I don't want to break any forum rules and start a for sale thread until I'm fully set up...

		Laptop Problem

If the Icons that are covered are only Shortcuts and not system Icons (Recycle bin/Mycomputer etc.) there seems to be a fix on that thread that I posted... issue is that it's a registry hack... depends how confident you are with Computers if you want to do it or not...

If I install a Nismo thermosthat, is bad for the engine?

Hi mate, I'll try and help if poss but it should be noted I'm not an expert so you may want to double check what I'm telling you... so 200 to 205 is right on the end of where the car should be... I believe that the Stock Thermostat opens at around 76 deg C, If you put a thermostat in that is opening at a lower temp then all you'll do is prolong how long the car takes to warm up it will not minimise your top end temperature... What you need to do is get yourself a decent aftermarket Rad with a bigger capacity and cooling surface like a Koyo... Like I say this is what I think you need to do but someone will correct me if I'm wrong... hth, Paul

		Kittens

Yep... It's a big problem at the moment; We adopted two cats a few weeks back and the place we got them said that this meant that they can now take another pair in but they have a waiting list of over 150 cats and they're saying that they may have to start putting animals to sleep if they're not adopted soon. The main reason people aren't adopting at the moment is financial... Cats aren't that cheap to keep and people just don't realise it so if they've got them an something goes wrong they just want to get rid of them quickly, they're not really bothered by the fact it's an animal and toy, it's an ailment of the throw away society that we live in now-a-days... Let us know what happens with these guys mate and make sure the mother gets plenty of liquid and food, hopefully the RSPCA will take them but if not I might know someone that will. Let me know and I'll ask them. Cheers Paul

		Cuba, Varadero.....

Yep; Went there a couple of years back; make sure you only drink bottled water, at the hotel we were at people were having their bottles filled up at the bar and that water is just chilled and not filtered. Other than that it's great... do visit Havana; It's a great place; you have to go on an excursion from the Hotel and don't be surprised when the guide mentions that he's arranged for a cartoonist to draw cartoons of you all... TBH it only costs a quid but it can happen fairly regularly during a single day...other than that just enjoy yourself. hth Paul

		Cylinder 6

Hi mate, No worries... Where abouts are you based in SE london? could run up with my conzult etc. at some point... Any how my issue ended up being slightly different as my compression was ok and the issue in the end was the injector. If you do a search on Cylinder 6 and/or balance test you'll find that a fair few people have issues with cylinder 6 detting due to the way the fuels distributed to the cylinders etc. Yes I believe that a teaspoon of oil is sufficient and will be enough to show what's going on... Let us know how you get on. Cheers Paul

		Cylinder 6

Hi mate, I'm no expert but I have gone through a similar thing in the past; the recommendation initially is to try dropping a little oil in the cylinder and doing the compression test again this hopefully point to either a worn bore/ring or sticking valve etc. i.e if the result is higher than 90 then the oil is creating a bit of a seal between the piston and the bore. The Zed engine can run on five cylinders or very low compression on a single cylinder and you wouldn't necessarily notice as they are quite a smooth engine. let us know how you get on... cheers Paul
