Audi s1 short wheel base evolution :punk: The noise of the anti lag and wastegate was pant wetting.And the metro 6r4 also sounded nuts.Used to see quite a few at a local rally held every year.Anyone ever seen the video of Walter Rohl driving the Audi? Amazing bit of footage.Guy was a legend at the wheel.

  6. Yes James do the test with the engine up to temp.remember to take all the spark plugs out then do each cylinder.

  9. Lol my thoughts exactly,a stock engine and that much power and torque,god knows why i wasted all my money on injectors,turbos,manifolds when i could have just gone there for a mapping session lmfao :whistling:

Youd struggle to get 400 rwhp using that power pack,the yanks power figures are always higher for some reason than what you could really expect.A true 400 at the wheels is gonna cost 6k maybe more.Youll need tubs,555 injectors,divorced down pipes,manifolds,boost controller and better intercoolers.Then if you want it to last your better off strapping that to a rebuilt engine.

  15. Whats your cars idle speed,those figures are low,id expect them to be higher than that.On average around 200 ish.After ive rebuilt an engine they usually read around 300.

This is all too common these days,feel for ya mate but its not wise buying a £35 k car for peanuts then being shocked at the repair costs.You cant run these on a tight budget when they are used daily or bought cheap as they WILL go wrong and cost a lot of money.Ask any of the longer term members what they have spent mechanically,sit down first though.

If it aint broke Jimmy dont mend it,the thrapping your cars had on circuits and its been fine,leave it alone if its ok.its not some performance mod that proves your running more power.It reminds me of people automatically fitting an adjustable fuel pressure regulator just because they are running more power on a higher flow rate injector when most of the time its not needed.
  18. Id be inclined to agree,zero boost prolly means seized turbo,larger boost leaks cause running issues,and one that gave zero boost almost certainly would.

  22. Imperial nuts !! you serious.No car maker has used unf or unc fasteners for years.Jap stuff uses metric fine mostly so thats why your off the pegs nuts wont fit.will be 1.5 pitch for sure.
  23. nuts and bolts are sized by the thread not the spanner that fits them.
  24. They are 10 x 1.5 iirc.
  25. I used to test mate and split or missing shocker dust covers is an advisory item only.
