  1. I too was after the Cuises and was saving up for them. For sure the best wheels out of the lot. Never seen them anywhere else..
  2. Damn..Thats worried me a little..I did give it the foot a couple of times and the car shooted fine and then took it easy and took it home..Am off work the next couple of days so am going to give it time in finding out what the problem is or was. Hopefully its a pipe somewhere and not the turbos..Thanks for the heads up buddy..:)
  3. Maybe you need to cut the springs a little due to them being really hard/strong which is not allowing the boost to push whatever is inside the dump valves far enough to make a good/loud sound...But thats just a suggestion...
  4. Well what do you know..After a couple of days of not giving the Z any attention at all..Today I decided to take it to work..On the way to work I just took it easy and had a relaxing drive there..On the way back from work, again I was taking it easy and by mistake, my eye dropped on the turbo guage and I saw the needle showing readings slightly higher than where it was when it was giving me problems..So put my foot down and WHOA....THE TURBOS ARE BACK....:)..Haven't done anything to find out whether the turbos were seized or not or where a boost leak was..Left it a couple of days and the turbos are back up and running...Took it easy anyway on the way back as still gotta find out where or what the problem occurred due to...Just thought I'd share this with you guys as you did give me advices on what to do especially Jeff TT..:)
  5. Its got to be a love and hate relationship with them...Love em when they do us good and when they go wrong..boy oh boy..
  6. A VERY BIG THANKYOU to you Jeff TT. That sure as hell has broken it down to what I should do and very simple. It has been said many times before and I'm gona add to it. YOU DEFO ARE A STAR..:) Best regards and will keep you updated on how it goes..
  7. Incase the turbo has gone, and my pocket doesn't allow me to fix it for the time being, would driving it without the turbos working do any other harm to the car?? As there is no smoke or any unwanted noises and the drive is smooth..
  8. Yes it is the driver side which seems dead. Just don't understand why the car would be dumping if tubs ain't working..
  9. Thanks guys..:) I will look into all this thoroughly and hope for the best and if still its the worst case then so be it. Will keep you posted..:)
  10. Just did this morning while getting to the coilpack under it on the right and the injector. Thats definately fine. What I did however put on just recently was a new Apexi induction and Pace Side Mounts. Checked the piping from under the car on the coolers but they seemsed fine. I will check properly with the bumper off..
  11. Another Z owner quite sometime ago mentioned to me that one turbo kicks in between 2-3k revs and the other 4k. Maybe that's wrong. But now as there is no proper boost, while driving if I give it the foot, I definately feel a slight pull over around 2k revs and a little more around 4k revs. And the dump valves are definately dumping but are not as loud as they should be. These are sitting under the air filter. Upon check up I did get the 6th coilpack and injector to work as they weren't working and now the car is smoother. The plugs defo need changing too. But don't think these have got anything to do with boost. But now I'm thinking that maybe the turbos aren't seized as the dumps are dumping... But a little more fiddling around in the next few days would show the result though..
  12. Right...Did alot of fiddling around with the car and not come up and to any good result but just found out a couple of things that I wanted to ask about. Would any of the dump valves dump if any turbo is seized?? As both mine seem to be dumping fine..The springs in the dump valves are really hard and long..This shouldn't be a problem for the turbos right?? Also the pipes that go on the dump valve still is giving out air..Not sure if thats from the turbo.. Any views on these anyone??
  13. Thanks for your input buddy. Much appreciated and I will get the feed checked out and get all the oil lines cleared. Defo don't want a same problem occurring twice. Its so hard to digest a situation where something with the car goes wrong due to something really silly when we are trying to be a couple of steps ahead taking care of these cars..
  14. Also you can feel slight power at 4K+ revs which has got to be the 2nd turbo which I think is the driver side too so..
  15. I haven't yet tested it..Am going to get that done tomorrow hopefully..But what I noticed was that my dump valves used to kick in at 4K revs. Now just the driver side one dumps and not as loud..
  16. Thanks Jeff. I suppose my luck was quite bad here as the gauge reading when showing low did then rise again back to normal everytime. Perhaps you are right about the blockage then which opened up everytime. Me being an idiot, just thought that the gauge was talking rubbish with the high and low readings all the time due to it supposedly being crap but should've been extra careful I suppose and got it checked out. I just checked it out for any oil leakages underneath and again oil pressure is reading fine. Tut..
  17. Hey everyone, The day was going quite good today until I lost power on the motorway all of a sudden. Mine is a jap spec and the stock boost guage is not reading past 0 and there is no power at all. After reading a few threads here I believe its the passenger turbo seized. Now the symptom of this that I can think of is my oil pump. I always check my oil and water before taking the Z on the road and them both are always fine. But while driving every now and then, the stock oil guage would show really low readings. Now I have read here that the stock oil pressure guages are poo. So I did ignore it all this time but obviously, it was reading right. Just wanted to confirm that it did mean that the oil pump wasn't doing its job properly at all times or could it be anything else due to which the oil didn't reach the turbo much??? There is no smoke what so ever.. I'm looking to get this fixed in the next few days so wanted to know what else I should get looked at regarding this. Any help and advice greatly appreciated guys..:) Best regards, Zee..
  18. Don't tell me you too...lol
  19. Top wheels for sure. I knew I wasn't going to be the only one putting those on..:)
  20. Hey people, I recently put some deep dish 18s on my car and then found out that one of my rear suspensions had given up on me. Having said that I also noticed that the drive is really bad and uncomfortable. It feels as if you get thrown around in the car on uneven/bumpy roads. Must be due to suspensions being really soft as they are standard. So am looking to upgrade the shocks and suspensions soon. Have read good things about KYBs and Eibachs off course. I want to know with shocks and suspensions, what else needs to be changed?? as the whole current setup is standard. I've done a search and have come across tension rods and struts etc being mentioned but ain't got a clue what they are for. So could someone please put some light on what else needs to be changed when changing shocks and suspensions and what are they for?? Best regards, Zee..:)
  21. Mine took about 30mins altogether. Its pretty straight forward putting it on. You can do it yourself if you have the right tools which let you get under the car but I would recommend you take it to a garage where they can put it on the ramp, lift it up and get under it and do the job properly..:)
  22. I put the Japspeed one on mine just recently and am very happy with it. As said already, when I first put it on, it was a quiet, but then when I got on to driving the car around, wearing in the exhaust abit, it has started to get heavier. The burble is there on idle. Loud exhausts tend to do your head in after some driving or when driving all the time with that sound. The sound of this system is just right all around in my opinion..:)
  23. Yes Dave it is the rear giving me a hard time. They are 9.5j so went for 275 35 18s and they are slightly out under the arches. Matt, I haven't got any spacers, so got to be the offset of the actual wheel. I just noticed a little while ago that its the rear right one that hits the arch. The left one is fine. What I've also noticed is that the rear right arch (giving me problems) is sitting really close to the rubber compared to the left one. Perhaps the shock or suspension has given up on me??? As it rubs if the road is bumpy and uneven and when moving with speed..
  24. Hello Zedders,:) Anybody know of a good place to get the arches rolled around the Heathrow area??? Need to get mine done asap as the 275s are getting shredded due to the arch touching the rubber at a particular area of the tire. Perhaps some of you have experienced this too. Do let me know. Best regards, Zee..
