As above. I've been on the search for any link that shows or explains a little on how to but aint had any luck yet. Could someone please give me a little light on this matter. I did just find out that you can by-pass with the dash in but nothing further on how to. I have got someone getting me sorted out with a matrix but am desperate to be on the road with her without having to keep an eye on the temperature gauge all the time. Could anyone help me??

Hi Dave, I did do a search and found an aussie link but the link does not seem to work anymore. So was just wondering if anyone knew of another link. I might end up doing a dash out job as I've got a mate ready to help me out with it as he knows quite a bit about Zs but just am not ready to really risk it incase something else goes wrong with it. Hi People, Hope all of are loving your Zeds with the weather. My heater matrix seems to have given up and I remember reading somewhere in the forum that it can be swapped without the dash being taken out. Is that true??? Could it be by-passed without the dash taken out too?? If so could someone please send me the link for it or tell me how it can be done... Cheers guys.

hi people, ive got a bit of a problem with my zed. basically once my car has warmed up and i take it out for a drive i start to get steam coming out of the footwells especially from the passenger side and if i put my put down then i get lots of water just blast out in the passenger footwell area which off course makes me turn the car back round home. ive been trying to locate what it might be but as there aint alot of space in the engine i cant see anything. ive got warranty on the whole engine so i am taking her back to the garage to get them to check it out.however i just wanted to know whether if any of you guys would know about this problem and point a particular area out to me which i can tell the mechanic to have a look at. cheers guys. Hi people, Hope all you guys are ready for the summer with your zeds. Mine has just come back out on the road after about 5 months. Been a really long wait. Had an engine rebuild done. Got 6months warranty on the engine and want to use it to the max and get the mechanic to look at the engine fully every now and then. When i got the car back, on the way home, it started missfiring, so took her back to the garage and the guy looked at it. Came out that one of the coils had given up so got the changed. No problem. Now its been 5 days of having it(have to say I did miss her loads) and last night it has started missfiring on higher revs/speeds. Has that again got to do with the coils? Or what do you guys think it might be so that i can direct the mechanic where to look at.Any help would be appreciated guys. Thanks

thanks for your suggestions guys.after a bit of thinking ive decided to go for a rebuild as i dont really trust the older engine anymore.got a feeling more problems will come out with it which might end of costing more.so gonna get a new engine put in there.in other words gonna dig a deep hole in my pocket (financial wise).hope it all goes well for me.

Hello people, Hope you all are fine and having good times with your Zeds. I lost the head gasket on mine a couple of months ago.Managed to get it to the garage yesterday to get it fixed.The guy is charging me £1000 for the engine out work with the skimming tests and all.I just wanted to know is there anything else I need to keep in mind about and get checked out.I mean when the head gasket on a zed goes is there anything else that is damaged with it I might need to get the mechanic to have a look at.I'd appreciate any help and suggestions. thanks guys.

hi people, hope you all are fine and having some quality time with your zeds.im having some serious problems with mine all at once. problems are as follows: - power steering oil leak leak in exhausts oil leak water leak yesterday my car started leaking water and i checked which pipe is was. its the pipe at the rear middle section on the engine. there is really tiny whole in the rubber pipe and leaks out water quite rapidly. this leak affected my car quite severely im guessing because the cars engine gave out alot of steam while driving yesterday and then just stopped.now the car does not even start.i could smell alot of burnt oil and petrol when i openned the bonnet. so i just wanted to know where you people suggest is the best place to take the car and get it fixed so that it runs as good as new. any suggestions would be thankful cheers peeps

not having a very good day with my Z i am.started up my Z earlier and while waiting for it to warm up my hicas light came on. power steering oil must have been low so topped it up with some oil.the light went away.took it out for a spin and while driving smelt petrol.didnt take enough notice of it until the smell got worse.parked up and opened my bonnet and the engine smelt of nothing but petrol so believed there was a leak somewhere.started looking around if i could find anything.got to the top middle section of the engine and found the area wet under a couple of pipes.thats where the petrol leakage is and the petrol is dripping out there quite quick so thought id best take this thing back home.go bak and sit in the car and find my hicas light back on.checked my power steering oil and it was low.so now i think ive got a power steering oil leak as well. any suggestions before i take it to the specialist and dig another whole in my pocket??? :cry:

hi peeps, hope all of you are fine and loving your zeds.ive got a bit of a problem with mine.started it up this morning.i give it about 15 minutes to warm up and stuff before i take it out on the road.done the same today and put my heater on and heard a loud squeeling sound coming from my engine.switched the heater off and the sound went away.put it back on and the sound came back.so i popped the bonnet trying to discover what the problem is but me being a total novice when it comes to engines i cant figure it out.but basically the loud squeeling noise is coming from the front part of the engine just behind the bonnet locking system. any ideas on what it mind be?any will be appreciated. thanks guys..
