I`ve done oil-changes before , but not where I live now : with street parking being so sought-after , some fooker would probably park on me legs :nono: As for Topless doing the cooler , I long since gave up on calling his outfit . I started last year when they were " too busy , due to cars being prepared for the show season " , Absolutely no prob with that , but several calls and months later , I gave up . Tooting isn`t that far from me , but the Zen Garage might as well be on the moon as far as getting my car sorted goes . LOL

I had mine MOT`d for the first time a few weeks ago at my nearest garage...left it with them on the Friday . Guy calls me and says it needs wiper blades and two rear tyres , " Shall I fit them ? " I say , let me do a search on this site and call you back . I decide on Falken 452`s and he says , But they`re BUDGET tyres , we usually only fit Pirrellis etc .. ( BTW this place is in a pricey mews area..Paul McKenna had a Ferarri and a Bentley Continental parked across the little road and his office is next door ) I say i`m not interested in the name , but the grip , so he orders them for the Monday . So , in the meantime , I collect the car to use it for the weekend , and lo` and behold it has the new MOT on the passenger seat . They`d farmed it out to an MOT garage . No Advisory sheet , just a full MOT . My rear tyres seemed to have loadsa tread on them , but they were " budget " tyres that i`d never heard of and inherited with the car . He`d also asked me if I wanted the fronts changed as well . Anyway , on the basis that the new Falkens might save my ass one day , I let them go ahead with it , but does anyone think I coulda just cancelled the new tyres and paid for the other stuff ? Maybe I could , but I feel safer now ! LOL The other thing is , I tested the pressures on the new tyres...offside rear 45 ppsi :nono: ; nearside 26 ppsi . Didn`t think much about it , but even without driving the car , the nearside is losing 5 ppsi a day . Do I have a case for them to fix the leak free of charge as opposed to paying them for a new valve , balancing and labour ( £ 79 per hour :headvswal ) Apologies for the long and boring post :rolleyes:

When I park my Import tt , what should I do first : retract my mirrors or close the driver`s window ? And should I take my coat off the passenger headrest from the driver`s side ( a bit of a stretch ) , or walk round and open the passenger door and make an extra door-slamming noise ? And when I get home ( usually about two streets away ) , should I go back and make sure I`ve locked the fooker after all that worry ? All replies appreciated . :bow: No offence intended to anyone who genuinely seeks valid opinions...my keyboard should be automatically locked the moment my fridge has been opened seven times after 6pm ...or slavering ensues :rofl:
