  6. I couldn`t really tell from inside the car , Nick . And by the time I got home after doing about six miles in 90-120 minutes I was so hungry and glad to get back , I forgot about it :mac1:
  7. After I`d been stuck/crawling along in traffic for about an hour the other day , I noticed a humming noise , as if something turning/spinning was rubbing , or lacking lubrication . It sounded too " heavy " to be the fan (?) It happened once before , in the Summer , but I hadn`t noticed it since then . Any ideas would be most appreciated , lads an` lasses .

  9. Yes , it was funny ; with a good cast , too . And a fine theme song by Roddy Frame ( former leader of Aztec Camera and a terrific guitar player : check out the acoustic solo on " Oblivious " , for instance ) . :D
  10. He also played the pub landlord in "Early Doors"
  11. G24 S*O . Parked in Kensington Road just before 7pm tonight , Sunday . Superb-looking car !

  15. The human mind is capable of all kinds of hallucination . We are also programmed to believe that something is there , as opposed to not there , as a survival tool . Early in our evolution , it was safer to assume that , say , a shadow is a tiger than to find out the hard way that it wasn`t a shadow . Today , if you mistake a burglar for a shadow , bad things happen . A fascinating read , from which that ( loosely ) came , is " The God Delusion " by Richard Dawkins
  16. Woah ! I missed this one . How illuminating that you call me an a-hole for defending musicians who use real instruments . Here we come to definitions of what real instruments are . Personally , I think that a musician can express himself with touch and feeling on , say , the guitar , by bending , sliding , hammmering on/off notes , hitting the strings softly or hard . Similarly , on the piano , there are levels of touch that inform the piece being played , emotionally . I can`t disagree that electronic " music " exists . It`s just that it doesn`t touch the parts that the human heart , for want of a better word , responds to . BTW , DON`T call me an a-hole !
  17. Am I missing something ? Why is that worth anything ?
  18. If people have to use some form of I.D. to buy them , ok . For instance , if a chap`s name is Guy Falks , you`re gonna think twice .
  19. Anybody think the Royal Family act a bit too posh these days ?
  20. No , not biting LOL
  21. You mean we have some non-perverts in our midst ?
  22. Andy , I seem to have got a trace of blood in my alcohol stream , debilitating my bait-sensor . Respect to ya . ( Philadelphia is a great song , by the way ) Like your attitude . Be Happy :D
