Well said , Ade You and the PC who helped me out are not alone . But it is a shame when proper coppers ( no poetry intended :) ) have to admit that their force is recruiting people with " attitude " into such an important role in society . If they can`t act responsibly there`s obviously something wrong with the vetting/profiling system . The Police are paid and employed by the citizens to keep law and order , and there would be chaos without them . But a bad copper . or one with a cynical sense of superiority , is far worse than a civillian with those traits . Think I`ve done my twopennorth :) Good Cops : Keep up the good work Bad cops : give up the day job

Last Saturday , I`d been to view a car out in the countryside when I came to a big roundabout where my exit ( for the A13 ) was blocked by a Police car and cones . I drove around again and stopped to ask the copper how I could get back into London . He was very helpful , told me there`d been an accident on the A13 and gave me a couple of alternative routes homeward . I was in the Zed with the targas off and as I was about to go , he said " Nice car , by the way " . :) Sooo , despite the old ditty , not " All coppers are b*stards " .
