  1. To be honest, that was my first thought too. Except I just sold my spare TT ECU . :slap: Anyone loan one? John, that is spot on unfortunately. Disconnected the solenoids and bingo, no earth on 1st click. :(:(:(
  2. Now theres a thought, I will eliminate this by unplugging in the engine bay, and test again. Will this be obvious if I open it and check? Would a ROM data file help in any way? When I asked Datascan to download the ROM nothing happened, how long does that usually take? All I managed was to take screenshots of the Fuel and Timing Maps, which doesnt really help in this case!
  3. Just charge it till you can start it! :D Then take it on a good long run.
  4. Add it to the "Insurance Database" list so we can get some good comparisons going. :) here
  5. Yes 142(min)-186(max) is what you want your readings to be.
  6. I have a very odd situation. Let me start by saying I thought I was in safety boost as I was only boosting to 7psi. However ECU diagnostics ran all clear (55). As everyone knows in the Safety Boost scenario the ECU changes the fuelling maps and limits the boost levels. The Wastegate Solenoids do the boost limiting. Normally the ECU earths the circuit (through pin 25) in order to turn them on (normal boost), and 'floats' the earth in safety-boost to turn them off. They are "ON" (normal boost) when: - Engine is running - TPS voltage is above 0.1v - No Detonation - Coolant is above 55 degrees Now I have run Datascan and everything operates as it should. Datascan says the Wastegate Solenoids are going "on" at the right times. They are "off" at idle, just give the accelerator a kick and they go "on". Which is a HUGE relief because I was thinking it was time to fit a new Det sensor. However! Datascan is lying. The ECU never actually earths the pin when Datascan says it is, I know because I have checked pin 25. And i know it has the ability to earth it because at engine-off key-first-click it is earthed. Second-key-click it is floated, idling it is floated, running it is floated, it never earths it, which means my boost is ALWAYS limited. :( Any ideas?
  7. This is the vac feed for the Carbon Canister if i'm right. It doesnt have to be capped off as it runs alongside the plenum and reappears at the back of the engine. It should be capped off here where I beleive it goes to the balance bar. With the engine running is there any suction on the pipe? If so it needs blocking here, or as above.
  8. Yep its standard factory. Pull the rocker switch off and hold it up to the light. If you can see through the 'up' V then its supposed to be illuminated. ;)
  9. Thanks for the input guys, We are making a good table which should be of some interest to people renewing.
  10. On a 2 seater? Behind the passenger seat. Dont know about a 2+2 sorry!!
  11. me too, cant wait to try it! ;)
  12. Stopped in to get some Plastikote Black for my scuttle panels and ended up with a bag-full of goodies. Which is unusual for Halfrauds! Also got some - chrome paint for headlight inserts - Megs Endurance Tyre Gel - no better stuff! - AutoGlym tyre gel - great for the engine bay, as its in handy spray bottle. - For my 3for2 free purchase I got a Megs Super Plush Towel (god knows why!) I didnt need anything else! (I think I might have bought the wrong Plastikote so those that have tried it on their scuttles, let me know.)
  13. When you say mushroom filter do you mean the HKS foam one. Notoriously bad in the wet. The Apexi will improve it, but the best improvement is to fit a splash guard under the filter.
  14. Smithy says he didnt when I asked. Any idea what sizes the two end connectors were, and how much length you used, of what diameter? I'd rather find out without taking it all off the car!
  15. I can confirm there is only one bulb. In the drivers 'up'. The passengers is unlit.
  16. I dont think that's his car. Its a computer generated concept image.
  17. You missed two of the best!
  18. Some people do because i've LED converted at couple!
  19. Looks like stock calipers, larger discs and extension brackets. Much better value for money if you ask me. :) Did you grind off the Nissan logo?
  20. Does that mean a pair of zed cats is £60? Where do I take them!!!
  21. $$$$$$$$$$
