No it's not totally stock. You haven't looked at the exhaust have you....nor the bodycoloured part of the spoiler's lower section. ;)

He also has the wheels on the wrong sides ;).

After a bit more research on Autotrader, I wonder if that dealer actually had it to sell.

 

I say that because they also have a red J reg UK spec auto for £3995. It is quite distincive, with a high spoiler, chrome alloys and the front indicator panel colour coded.

 

The very same car is advertised privately, some 60 miles away for £2500-ish......

It's the same car up as a private sale, second up from the bottom. You can just make out the numberplate :rolleyes:

 

EDIT: Just called the private seller and he was a really nice helpful fella. It was his wife's car and he regrets selling it to a dealer (he confirmed it was the chap in Wycombe) but needed the space so he bit the bullet. It sounds a good buy too, if you can find it...... :cry:

I wasn't gonna mention the purchase, 'til I'd actually picked her up, but since this thread started.... :p

 

She's not perfect - couple of trolley dents, and unsure about the central locking, but she's got a stack of Nissan History, and seems pretty un-molested on the whole. Boosts nice too - something I don't get much of at the moment in my plodder, BMW 525tds!!

 

Now, here's the question - how long will I be able to resist the modding mania? Certainly, looking on here ain't gonna help much! :nono:

There was a member on here who bought a silver zed off a Trader on Auto Trader, which wasnt the same car as advertised, ie different front bumper than the car adsvertised in the ad pic, if anyone remembers plus there was other tale tale signs of it being a different car

from what i saw jut from the ad it looked a good car, if everything is as it seems then i think you found a winner! i found it on the trader on a friday night...i went and took the cash out of the bank early saturday morning to slam the wonga on their table but unfortunately...

Joel, Yes, I think it's the same car - he is also advertising a UK Auto - but to be fair, I didn't see that one at his "car lot" (back garden). He has a blue import too which I think is an N/A - which was there and looked quite tidy.

 

In general he had a few decent Jap cars back there and a TT :smash: - seemed like a nice bloke to me, after thinking he could have been a little more inspiring on the phone.

 

As I say - time will tell... now, I can't bloody wait 'til Tuesday! :nana2:

Not sure about Silverstone, would need to check with the diary secretary, and she's still in the land of Zzzzzzzz... I've seen the deadline, though, so will let you know in time, hopefully catch up soon.
