Should it not have a graphite grey moustache....or didn't US spec cars have that?

At some point they went body-coloured, worldwide. Which is odd, because the facelift bumper partially brought it back.

Not quite worldwide. In the US, there were a few changes. 90 only had a plain nose panel, no badge. Moustache didn't vanish until 94 I think, in Japan is was 95. In Europe, it was always adopted, even on the very last runs of late 96/early 97 cars.

It is strange how the USA and Europe LHD Z's are twice the price of UK Z's. Still to many people here complaining when a nice 300zx goes up for sale at a decent price.

They always were more expensive though. There are various market factors involved there, America’s lack of Skyline and the limited EU market being just two. There simply isn’t that huge source of cars from Japan to flood the market in either market.

The USA do have a lot of z32 300zx's and I believe the older Skylines. Europe not so many but you are right Steven they always were more expensive than ours. Ours dropped in price while the rest of the world held there price.

The main factor is actually heritage. There's a cult following for the Z car, it was seen in many racing guises over there and as such have become more of a collector car.

Z32s in Europe are seen as unknown. There's little heritage and Nissan of Europe and the UK offer nothing for their owner base in terms of support and sponsorship. It doesn't really have anything to do with the numbers as you'd expect a country with more of them to be cheaper.

There's big support for the Z marque. ZCCA for example are very influention with Nissan USA. Over here, our little Z Club aren't. The main factors are support and heritage which I've seen and experienced first hand.

With numbers so low, it's not that easy.

Nissan are already involved with heritage cars at the Monteray Classic. The Nissan brand has a much bigger appeal than it does here where when you say 'Nissan', most folks immediately think of Micras.

Nissan's North American models are far more appealing than the 'pile' em high, sell 'em cheap' econoboxes in Europe.

We are an unknown gem for sure  But I think we are in a good position to make the 300zx more popular next year and let the classic car market know what they are missing.
