So, I've been here for years now and have seen many zeds come and go. Some of my favourites being here in the northeast. Anyway, I thoughts I'd make a thread about old favourite to try and drum up some interest.

So, what are your old favourites and where are they now if you know.

The Fridge:

So this was owned by PaulG who put the kit on and painted the car himself in his garage. Shockingly, I remember FunkySi saying he quite liked the car. I personally loved it, veilside Supra spoiler and all. The car sold sold to someone abroad, initially having a wheel change and the spoiler removed before having a complete new colour and look.

That was a very nicely done car that one. Never that sure on the wheels, but it was a nice car.

We all knew it would meet your seal of approval lol

Oh come on, look at it, it's hideous and time hasn't been kind however at least those dreadful it once had at long gone.

I remember when chroming the headlights was all the rage. So glad that died a death!

2nd and 4th pictures of the green one. Kish should hang his head over that shonky finish!

When it's on the road, you can bring it to work and I'll see what can be done.

I know, maybe you should do the decent thing and change them! :)

What about madmarco and dazvert. Both vanished.

I still speak to Marco and may well be helping him rebuild his N/A engine with some fancy bits

Good to know, he was a good guy and I liked that little car.

Chris@GetGreddy

Although the owner is a complete A-Hole in my opinion, his car was real nice. I don't know what happened to the car as Chris vanished from the earth after being a robbing git.

HaHa a few old faces there at the Ferry bridge meet Lee many years ago...you look very young there and ime standing right behind you in the Combat jacket enjoying the day. That day i convoyed up with Mr Greddy himself and remember pissing him off on the way home as his 20K plus car could,nt keep up with my Auto stocker TT on the M6:D Theres loads of faces there i remember including Shunter (remember him) a really nice lad was Neil too..Great thread mate:thumbup1:

There was another black SWB with a wide-arch kit. De-spoilered rear I think.

Was the guy called Martyn ?

What about that minted bloke that spent a fortune on a white one from scratch, he even made his own website. I'm sure Jimmer built the engine and it had Emerald management. I could be wrong

It had rainbow effect wheels

That was Martin (Madmax) . The car was sold to Bobgenie and I believe it's now been broken for spares. The wheels were on ebay for a while, Bob has the engine and 98+ gearbox, the interior was up for sale here a while ago also.

I helped a little with that car too and spent some time at Martin's house with Jimmer assembling various bits.

Zogg also on the list, but have some photos here.

ZOGG (Peter)

Quite a popular looking car and Peter was a well liked member. Last time a spoke to him was about 3 years ago and I think he still has the car sat around. Here's a couple of photo's, 1 is from from a show we were at together, I took them while he put my tent up

Edit... added some more of the photos I took

He's another one lee,I can make him out in the background I only met him once...B G Vince and his wide arch....what happened to him?

Don't have any pictures from when we went to this meet, Vince was another nice guy.

BeeGeeVinz. SlicktopPete has seen him I think, or at least that's what I remember him saying at Coventry. He's still about but doesn't really use his Z from what I understand. It's in his lockup.

I called Vince last year trying to buy a random wheel he bought as a spare as I needed a replacement following the accident in the black car. He's well but as has been said, he never uses the car. Probably does less than 1k a year. The car is still the same, will post some pictures later

Speaking of old Members, I still see Chunk on a regular basis, he says Hi to all the old crew that would remember him.

Andy Isherwood’s Car was always one of my favs. Wasn’t personally a fan of the rear light conversion, but as with most things with Andy’s car, it was very well done.

Spoke to him this evening as it happens, he’s umming and aaaahing about getting another Z.
