I'm pleased to announce I received an email this morning from the organisers of Simply Japanese at Beauleiu National Motor Musuem, it confirmed that they beginning to request attendance from the clubs. So we have been invite to log our interest in the event, to be held on Sunday July the 30th. I've currently booked a space for 40 cars.

This thread will continue to update and I look forward to another successful event.

This is the only car show I get to go to and I love it. I love meeting all the cars at Tescos, having a look over them all and then convoying to Bealieu and spending the day chatting and looking at everyons hard work. I will be attending as usual and my friend (who came 2nd in his brown turd last year) is bringing another one of his classics!

You can print your own pass with "Z CLUB" on a sheet of A4, to place on the dashboard. The purpose of this is so the marshals hopefully get us all parked together. I will print some off however, and have some to hand at the Tesco meeting point in case anyone forgets theirs on the day.

I can't get the car high enough to get enough access under it, so it'll be going to Powerzed for that and a whole list of other things, there's also a new alternator/start harness for it too.

Correct. I have the worst jack in the entire world. My axle stands will hold it quite high, but I need a new low-profile jack.

So the beauliegh web site says "We will be opening an entrance from 8am, in order for us to park clubs in position on pre-booked club spaces. Further details will be available closer to the event" is this information given to the club organiser , or does it appear on their website closr to the event?

Ah. Little tip. Drive up on block of wood, then use the front tow hook to get the car up. Insert stands. You can then put the jack on a block and it will give you a few extra inches. I've played the game if getting it high enough to pull the gear box out more than once :lol:

"Club Arrivals

Please use our Main Museum Entrance off the B3056 first thing. This entrance will be open from 8am for club arrivals - we will not be opening the entrance gate into the complex until 8am. Any early arrivals will be directed into one of our visitor car parks to wait until opening at 8am.

Only Trade vehicles will be allowed access prior to 8am.

This entrance will then operate as a club and general entrance from 9am.

 

Please Note: The Attraction, including the museum does not open until 10am.

 

Our additional Entrance off the B3054 will be signed as “Simply Japanese Additional Entrance” and will be open from 9am-11am only and operate as a club and general entrance. If you arrive at this entrance before 9am or after 11am you will be directed round to the main entrance as there is nowhere to wait here."

So the enterance we are using this year is the main one? Last year we used a back entrance and a gravel track to get us into the park.

See attached pdf for the pass that need to be printed off and displayed on the dash when you drive into the park, so the marshals can direct us to the correct area.
