As title folks - the NEC 2016 is almost upon us; and we need 4 of the very best cars this club has to offer, in order to represent the Z32 and club on the world stage.

Dates for the show are:

Thursday 10th November - be there around 9am for set-up

Friday 11th, Saturday 12th, Sunday 13th November - show open to the public

Sunday 13th November - remain until after the show closes, dismantle and leave

Your car will be locked in for the entire duration - no exceptions; and no chance of arriving later or leaving earlier.

You do not have to remain with it; although your assistance in manning the stand over the weekend would be appreciated. And if you can't stay, then you'd have to entrust your keys to one of the committee on hand over the weekend. Just in case of emergencies!

The club has booked (twin) rooms at the Ibis hotel; the cost of which is covered by us. Albeit you'll be expected to share with another participant. Meals etc are not covered, you will be expected to pay for your own food...

Time is now of the essence, this thread is not a debate; or for opinions to be voiced. If you have a Zed which you feel will meet the required standard; and are willing to participate and able to commit to the whole weekend, then you are welcome to volunteer....! We had a few potential volunteers from our thread back in January - if you're still up for it, please let us know ASAP. This thread will be closed on Sunday evening, so what are you waiting for......

I can be available to display and attend for the duration if required. :thumbup1:

Good news Joel - I kinda knew that already; and was just waiting for you to step up before announcing.....

There may be a members' poll put up tomorrow, depending on how any more volunteers we get during today. However since you won, not one but two, awards at Coventry, the members have already spoken. You're in with a resounding endorsement!!

Thank you for your commitment mate, we truly appreciate it..... I look forward to seeing you there again in 2016...

I think Mondo should be invited too we need to see different cars on stand this year. His car is more than up to the standard in my opinion. And hes comitted to it so i dont think this should go to a poll

Talking about it, why don't you lend your car for the task, zebedee is a unique unicorn.

How many cars have we been allocated this year? And does it have to be OEM+? I like Keith's Impul kit and its not far off the standard IMO.

Well, thank you. :)

I'd personally like to see Dougal's car there. It knocks complete spots off mine (as much as it pains me to say that, it's simply an unarguable fact) and is just a superb example of what these cars can be! It's got a nice interior too... ;)

And it's a shame Gaz can't get across for this as his SWB is another striking example.

I would love to show my Z but maybe next year. I will be just back from Lanzarote when the show is on this year so a lot happening.

I'm torn here over this, i did declare an interest in showing mine in that earlier in the year initial thread but knew i might not get all my little niggles done.

It seems though they'll be done, potentially as soon as next week, which is respray and wheel refurb, on top of this it will only take me at the most a couple of weeks to alcantara the interior myself, door cards already done.

With a Sunday deadline to this, i feel my hand is forced without actually seeing my finished product.

Zebs been there before Ali when Mandy owned it plus im still not happy with the paint at hhe front. Also im just not free as im freshly into a new contract at work so cant make it. I do belive its time for some different cars on stand for the public to see.

Fair enough. I joined in 2015 so I only saw last year's NEC.

I honestly thought there'd have been more people wanting to pounce on an opportunity like this...

My ideal stand at something like this would be one example of each body style: so a LWB, a SWB T-Top, a Slicktop and a Vert. I think that'd be seriously eye-catching for visitors to the show! :thumbup1:

Might be able to show mine. The one thing that lets it down slightly is the interior so not sure it's a good enough standard.

Sorry to hear that Tony - still, your car is in the right place if you want it fixed. Hope it's nothing major...:clover:
