....... and still they come, the continued arrival of zeds with corrosion requiring welding attention is at the busiest ever, I guess this is inevitable really as the cars get older and spend more time in the UK weather and road conditions.

The floor on this one has had to be repaired, seeing this more often too now, the sills had been repaired before as you can see with ocean`s of filler !!

At least it is another one that will be saved by the Zedworld welder, should have some pics when complete.

A reminder to all that the sills, floor and wheel arches are slowly corroding away, do not be fooled by shiny paintwork unless they have been done correctly, the design is flawed and will eventually succumb to the dreaded tin worm so be on guard.

why / how is the design flawed ? what can we do to prevent this ?

The targas have a drain pipe which goes down to the sills and out of the car, but sometimes the pipes comes loose/breaks and just fills the sills with water as far as I recall.

You can get into the pillar and replace the hoses though.

So thankful that my car is completely rust-free and has had no structural welding done to it! I'd literally cry if I had the above!

Very jealous Si, mine was a right rust bucket.

Just had to do what was needed to save her, took a while mind.

Indeed - but the quality of work and detail you've gone through were epic! Seriously nice craftsmanship!

My interpretation of Jeff's post is that this car is with the guy (in the UK) who he used to use for the welding repairs etc. [emoji106]

Correct, 12 + years using this guy doing our welding, makes all his own panels and knows how to cut fabricate and weld a zed to better than new, inserts stainless steel targa drains so the problem does not re-occur, many zeds on here been to him. Midlands based.

Same here, no rust and no repairs, and doesn't leave the garage unless dry, and a good amount of dinitrol cavity wax has been applied everywhere!

Who is this magician of metal? This fan of fabrication? This wizard of welding? Does he sell his fabricated panels? or only make them if he is welding your car?

Your urethra must be enormous to fit those in...!!

Depends which razor blades. Now I have yet to measure my urethra or my Johnson, but I'd imagine the urethra is no more than a couple of MM.....I'd imagine that the blades from one of these disposable razors would likely fit.

I've thought about this waayyyy too much.
