More and more it seems to be people can't differentuate facts with opinions, equally the venom of what some make their "facts" is disgusting. This is by no means the worst but I stumbled across this and ended up reading it as you do, I came away thinking this is why I don't like a lot of people. Honestly we could do with some proper problems for these people to fixate on. The highlight was the chap who accuses his neighbour of being a drink driver on the basis that her cars loud she's young and she gets home late...mate she might work nights?

Just had a read Stephen......... Amazing.... I know loads of people like that though and they all hate my Z......

My neighbours are fine and don't complain as I don't sit revving it up or go out late at night.......

Even the one that hates it and does complain is out of luck as his wife keeps telling me she loves the loud exhaust as it sounds fast..... lol

I think we should start a petition to ban hybrid cars and electric cars as they make NO noise and you don't hear them coming...... easy to walk out in front of them!!

You got me annoyed now...... lol

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

I think the point of the whole argument is regarding, the chavs in their pugs or civics revving the arse off to try and sound big, and are annoying, i also have a neighbour with a 100cc bike and he revs the tits off it every time he starts it up, why ffs, it is annoying.

But having a true sports car that sounds the *****x isnt the issue, so i wouldnt worry at all about it

I think the bits I like most of all in there is the assumption that people only have the money spare to fit "loud exhausts" if they don't own their own property.

I mean, it's not as if renting privately generally costs more than a mortgage or anything!!

There are some true warriors on that page. "David" in his £2.6million house who challenges anyone to have a loud exhaust near it... the person who says they don't mind "supercars" being loud but objects to a noisy Civic... the woman who says she's set up bloody roadblocks in order to limit someone's driving...

Honestly, what muppets! My Zed is reasonably loud, but I don't rev it up on the drive and I tend not to drive it late at night (this last part may well change in the summer though). I have young children next door, next door to them and across the road from me.

Is anyone going to complain about my Zed? No. Why? Because one of the occupants next door has an MG ZR with a loud exhaust on, next door to them had an Evo 6 til recently and the guy across the road has a huge box-van that's stupidly noisy and he has to leave for work at daft o'clock in a morning!!

I hate people who have nothing better to do with their lives than find something to complain about, I truly do.

I love the fact that they are calling for a law that already exists, that's just shows how little thought they have put into it.

Yes David's 2.6m house is funny. Does this mean david that you think you have more rights because your house cost more? Does this indeed mean that someone who considers your house pocket change can ban the wind, as long as the house costs enough...snob. Elitest snob.

I also enjoyed the comment about stupid cars like cord as and scoobies, ummmmmm. Not the same league?

What's a Cord as...???

Sorry I live in a 3.2 million pound house and don't know any cheap car names...... lol

Probably lives in middle of London in a 3 storey town house, drives a Prius and runs the residents committee and Neighbourhood watch, always has a note pad and camera with him in case someone infringes on his rights....... lol

I believe you are correct, can't help myself though sometimes. Most if it I just laugh. The internet is a fantastic place for freaks and weirdos to get together and tell each other they are normal.

Proper rivets? Not those pop rivet things actual rivet rivets? Haven't used one of those since college.

yep when you need domed formers to nail em down...i have a rook of copper and steel old style rivits iff you ever feel the need to re-live your youth:yes:

These must be the same people who moved into thruxton village and then started a petition to stop the racing on Sunday's as it was disturbing them.

Most likely yes, they have previously been involved in the petition about Mount Everest needing to be stopped.

What naughty things has mount everest been doing?

[sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Oh no, i've started reading them....

Apparently people who drive vehicles with reversing alarms are all part of satanic cults, and the goverment knows this

Oh it just turned up one day and blocked the sun in the mornings forms Dave's roses after he moved in. It wasn't there all along or anything.

I use the Internet and rivets on a regular basis; want me to send a message?

yes ..go and run like the wind and tell that Joel chappy to stop leaving these fuel hose clips loose on these airbus thingys, run boy!!

The thing is my neighbours moan about my car noise, moan the kids make noise, to be honest they moan at everything because I'm in my 30's and most down my street have retired but on a sunday morning at 8 there out on there ride on mowers or strimmers etc when some people like me have been a work all week and wouldn't mind a bit of a lay in but i don't moan,

I think people need to live and let others live,

Never had anyone moan about the noise my Z makes. It's not obnoxiously loud, it has a deep refined burble. I'd imagine the types that these people are moaning about are things like Corsas who burn around the streets late at nights with hideously loud bean-can exhausts. I live in an EXTREMELY quiet neighbourhood, so I can't really comment on that (the noisiest it ever gets here is when it's foggy and you can hear the ships' fog horns), but my GF was in a house share whilst she was at university in Clifton and it was quite noisy and you could certainly tell those who had awful droaning screaming exhausts at silly hours.

I can't for one minute think people have high performance exotic/sports cars in mind when they made those comments - the whole thing is OTT, but they're likely referring to awful sounds like this.....I agree, they're feckin' awful! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cVNV7w9OGWU

Mine isn't loud either but all the stock zeds I've been in are very quiet, so really we come into it with our bigger exhaust that we don't need unless were on a track, because we don't need faster car's for road use,

I understand what your saying about the little cars with big exhaust but most are literally saying there's no need for loud exhaust and even moaning about harleys etc, and when we all started driving we couldn't afford or insure big powerful cars so we did things to our cars probably were silly things but that's what we did lol...

My neighbours are horrible, and can't make noise even if i work on it with a drill or grinder or run the compressor i get looked down on but has said if there cutting a bit of grass it's perfectly ok to fire up a ride on mower on sunday morning and go up and down the garden,

I've lived in a main road in London with buses going by every other minute day and night, sirens, train line at back of the garden, people shouting etc and in the end i never heard it, now i live in kent and its very quiet other then the noisey neighbours with there bloody mowers and i probably only hear them because they annoyed me now I'm listening for it for an excuse to moan...

Come to think of it there's a bloody songbird i hear in the garden that sings every morning he needs an asbo too lol...his a thug...

There are some extremely noisy high end cars that wear the 'M' badge or the 'AMG' badge of late, especially the V8 powered variants. Don't get me wrong, they (mostly) sound amazing, but the fact is that the owners have no more or less a right to make such loud noises as the bean tin Corsa brigade. The fact the noise is a better one isn't relevant, nor is the quality or price tag of the vehicle in question.

Some would argue that the Corsa bean tin is completely unnecessary, at the end of the day a car is a tool A to B nothing more and all that, but in that regard so is a Ferrari, completely unnecessary for the UK roads where speed limit is 70mph. We buy these things because we want to, its our right, they make us smile. Old farts get over it!

Pretty much yeah.
