A very very mint E39 M5:drool:

Is that not the car that KGF or whatever they are called had for sale?

If so, it's been bounced around the dealers a fair bit over the past 6 months

Zed #2: 1998 Midnight Purple 2+2 NA. (owned 2020 - now)

Zed #1: 1995 Blue Slicktop NA (2013-2015)

As nice as they are, they're not that exclusive.

No, that car was an auto, this is a manual.

Looks to be a great car, a crying shame however that it doesn't have the spoiler still on it.

10k lol not a chance 4 or 5 k max

Had this same sort of thing on a facebook post on one of the US pages, someone posted a zed someone was selling for 9k, everyone was then "worth about 2k max blah blah blah", this was basically my reply to it.

"no wonder the z32 will not increase in price. its that simple, everyone moans about how little the car is worth, yet when someone wants to raise the price by just a few k, everyone moans at the condition or just blatantly says its not worth it, id say a show room zed bone stock with low mileage, should be fetching 20k, im not saying it would sell, but that's what id consider a good example that's clean as hell with low mileage should be worth in this day and age, as the car is now 25 years old with very limited amount of good examples left.

Problem is, people are too ingrained with saying "**** that shit, let it sit there and rot" before shelling out for a good example, because no one wants to pay a supra price tag for the z32 for some reason. may be if the price was higher, we would see less cars off the road, because lets face it, the biggest thing with reliability issues with the z32, is people skimping on maintenance because the car is so cheap to buy, it hides just how much it costs to maintain it to how Nissan recommend, people then run the car into the ground and palm it off to the next unsuspecting guy, who then moans how "unreliable" the car is. when its not actually the car that's at fault, its all the previous owners who didn't realize how much it would cost to maintain due to the car being so cheap to buy in the first place, very sad but true fact."

Good luck to him selling it at that price and hope he gets it.

It's all very well saying that it could, theoretically, be worth that price. And to the most part, i agree with you. If the car was in "as new" condition it should be worth that price

Problem is........Would YOU pay that price?!?

I sure wouldn't and i don't think a great many other people would either. Unfortunately, what it's worth is what people are prepared to pay.

There was a 3rd gen 1982 Trans Am for sale at a garage in Sunderland i think that only had delivery miles on it. That was up for sale for an inflated price for ages. Essentially it was a new car.

Peter

The car is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I would not pay 40k for an A500 Cosworth but I can understand why someone would.

I can't see someone shelling out 10 for a 300zx but I have been wrong before.

The car is worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

so in your logic im willing to pay one full english pounds for that car so that makes it worth £1

why are you people so hung up on 300zx prices it really does not matter. I got my 300zx on a wim I seen a cheap car that looked fun so I went a got it. just enjoy your cheap fun car. I had a Porsche before the 300zx it cost a boat load of cash and and shed load more fixing it at Porsche garage rates. the moral of this story is if your so worry about having a expensive car then buy a expensive car

I think the moral you're missing is some people bought/buy this car because they love and appreciate it and want it to get the recognition it justifiably deserves...Why is it worth less than a supra etc when they should be comparable?

You bought it for cheap fun so of course you don't care what it's worth. Unfortunately, it will never become as desirable as it should be whilst people just keep seeing it as cheap fun.

Shame really, but hopefully one day people will see the light!

think I mite add the car is now in bits new paint uprated engine wheelbrakes when its done would have spent 20k on it things got out of hand but its just for fun will never get the money back

see what makes the 300zx better than the supra is value for money

also I bet most on here got a 300zx due to liking the car and the low prices,

Agreed! Problem is, too many people spending money in all the wrong places on these cars. Lets fit a chrome this, rear strut brace that, flare the arches etc. Never mind replacing the knackered cambelt, worn trim, failing harness etc.

My current Z was/is a prime example of that.

Previous owners spent a fortune on lovely wheels, coil-overs, racing seats, speakers etc. etc. I bought it, admittedly not such a good choice, found the matrix leaking, system full of K-seal, knackered alternator, bodged PTU fitment bolt rubbing on cam pulley! And good god! - you should have seen the air filters. Unbelievable, but hey what lovely wheels! Never mind, its now a project I'm sticking with and slowly I'm turning it back into a proper good un Funkysi would be proud of. That's the plan!

All that said, each to their own, people can spend their money as they choose. Eventually the bad examples will be broken for spares, the good ones that resemble something close to original will rocket in value. Eventually!

Whatever our individual opinions might be - this ZX is on sale for just shy of £10k and is a genuine UK spec manual with leather, low miles and documented history......

.......So what if some think £10k is excessive - it's cars like this one that will force up the prices of the finest examples left on the road in a few years time. And as members of the 300zx owners' club, surely this is good news for all of us who own tidy, well maintained examples? Whether or not we intend to sell up is irrelevant - it's what makes for us all owning a proper classic car!!

Richard:clover:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I'd pay close to that IF it is the fine example it should be. Pictures hide all sorts of flaws as I found out recently travelling all over the place looking for a rot free Z. And people selling them often lie through their teeth, this was a big problem when I was viewing.

I think the car is worth the 10k, I aslo think a few of the cars in this club is worth the same, when my car gets done I wont let it go for less than 7k don't care what anyone says, someone will like it and want it.
