the reason a seller puts on ebay a saying such as:-

"The car is listed elsewhere therefore I with old the right to withdraw the car from auction at anytime"

the reason that's put in there is so if a seller manages to get a private sale they can withdraw the item from sale and avoid seller and PayPal fees and have agreed a deal. There may well be a reason Inc hasn't withdrawn the sale and I'm sure that's a fact.

I hope this I resolved and all parties remain happy :)

Just a note to all I have just place a maximum bid of £15,000 !!!

I didnt know you were that desperate for a zed mate, you could have had my TT for £15k :lol:

has lee paid for the car yet? my worry would be if he hadn't and the auction went higher than his price the seller would go with the higher

That would be my worry too, however I don't think this would happen as it is a member on here. Although I am not saying that it couldn't happen, but if someone has struck a deal and gets the buyer to make travel plans and hire a truck to go and collect the car, it would be a horrible and nasty thing to do, hence me saying I doubt very much it will happen in this instance.

Sorry I would prefer a zed with a paint job and no engine than one that's in primer !!

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Cheeky barsteward, im talking about my Black UK TT i bought recently

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

So wondering if your Zeds going to be in the next transformers movie ?

Yeah Optimum Primer and the other will be multiple primer :lol:

Yeah don't think it would happen just I had it happen to me the other way about when buying a body kit for my wife's del sol we bid on the auction won it for a good price even paid for it then the seller said sorry someone came and offered me cash so they sold it

There are some unscrupulous people around on ebay now, i rarely buy or sell anything on there anymore and i hate paypal too lol

I much prefer Amazon these days, although not for zeds lol, i still look everyday and some of the same old shite comes up under the 300zx heading, very rarely anything worth buying.

And if he puts a bit more to, he could have mine :tongue_smilie:.

You wouldnt sell yours Andy, like me love the zeds too much, i plan to restore the black one to as near stock as possible apart from wheels and interior and have the yellow/white primer as my modded toy

Is the seller a member on here?

I still think the simple fact of the matter is that the car hasn't been paid for and is therefore still for sale.

Fair enough if I was selling and Jaikai said he wanted it for sure I would probably end it, but otherwise if I had a car for sale, even if Joe Public tells me he wants it, it's still for sale until I've been paid for it.

Yeah he is a member on here buddy, he has a for sale thread for it, and he couldn't have that if he were only registered. I don't think there will be a problem, especially as Lee has spent money for travel and to actually collect the car.

This!

The auction hasn't ended, so it's all game. The auction can be pulled, no one loses out really if done in a timely manner.

What if the auction goes above the price already agreed for the car...?

I know Lee says he's put a maximum bid of £15k on eBay, which means he'd undoubtedly win if the auction ran to term... but what if somebody genuinely bid a high amount because they really want this car? If that's above the already agreed price, what then?

Hmmm?

That would be up to the seller and his conscience really. I know I couldn't do that to anybody, tell them they can have it at one price then change minds about it.

I dont know lol, if it went past £15k i would sell it and give Lee the amount he was going to pay as a sweetener, everybody happy

Just a note to all I have just placed a maximum bid of £15,000 !!!

So unless you want to pay over the odds I wouldn't bid, lol

So if someone reading this placed a bid for £14950 you'd win it at £15000! If i was you I'd retract that particular bid :)

There's a good chance that Lee wouldn't be happy as he wouldn't have the car that he'd agreed to buy.

To be honst this is a non thread regardng this particular sale.

Ian wants the car sold and recover what he can, without hassle and probably quicker than another 6 days of auction (still with the potential of a buyer pulling out) and Lee is clearly not the type to renage on an agreement and already committed to buying and collecting the car.

Morally there is a question about running an auction when you've already agreed a deal with someone else off another sale site (forum) but the auction can run up to 12 hours I think before you can pull it and no money ahs changed hands, jsut good faith, which for many off us still stands stead like a handshake!

It's not like the auction will run to the last minute as there will be another 5 days left to run after the car is sold and collected. So dissapointment by any potential buyer will be mittigated by not knowing if they would have had the winning bid or not and they still have time to get on with another auction!

Only thing I would say is if you place a bid on an auction, particuarly Ebay and that auction runs to your bid, you are legally liable for it, subject to any get outs you argue over.

15K Lee!!! typo error of course! Lol!

I think the issue understandably here is not about this particular auction as I think both members have hounarable intentions, but is is an issue when people pull the auction at the last opportunity either due to unfavourable bidding or having genuinley sold an item elswhere to avoid Ebay/ Paypal fees.

It is this situation that really gets peoples goat, when you perhaps choose to bid on one item and miss out on another that you would have otherwise bid on!

Ebay is C**p and on the slide, too many cancellations or return options for buyers and not enough honest sellers...and don't get me started on the fees!!

Good luck to both Lee and Ian on this Sale, looks like the weather will be good here to collect tomorrow.
