the last time my UK tt was allowed on the road, was febuary 2011. this is the last time i was driven. Over the nearly 2 years, ive replaced all sills, fixed any problems, revamped the interior, and basically tidied everything up.

I got rid of the high level spoiler, horrid veilside skirts, and crap front end.

All now replaced with brand new 89 spec spoiler, new smooth side skirts, and a replacement original tt bumper.

wanting to get the zed back to original look, just with decent wheels and a bit lower.

Today i took her for the mot, after a fairly quick drive, in order to clean the brake discs of rust and try as best to get emissions down due to having a full japseed decat system.

The test started, as i stood there with my fingers crossed, smoking ciggies. All looked to be going okay, until i walked to the shop to get a drink.

On my return, i walked towards my mot friend, and he looked at me shaking his head, i thought "crap its failed, hasnt it" well i asked, he replied i thought it was going to be perfect but i had to give just one advisory....

Exhaust noisy......................

pmsl exhaust noisy, thats due to having the japspeed system.

He then said, very nice and tidy, before i give you the certificate, can i take it down the road.

lol go for it, off he went and it was very clear yep it has a noisy exhaust.

Couple of mins later, he returns, gets out of the car and smiling, hands me the keys and says "wow, thats a lunatic, look after it"

To say im very chuffed is an understatement. All the hard work done by myself to get one advisory,

Zed is back on the road baby
