  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

im gonna get some red piping to put round the groves to finish it off.

Really?? Very 80s cheese imo.

Some fabric I had in my garage. Just got enough to do both door cards and the back arches :)

Ages and ages ago, I got a boot spoiler off Gibster-TT. It was the lower half of a Bomex two-piece and I wanted it specifically because I wanted to change it a little bit and make it (in my opinion, anyway) a better shape to fit the Zed's rear end.

So I set about temporarily fixing it to the boot and then started extending the end sections so they curved down to the sides of the car. I knew in my mind that I wanted to avoid having any kind of "muffin-top" effect from the back that the OEM early spoiler suffered from. So here's what it looked like a couple of days ago:

Why am I posting this, you may wonder? Well, it was collected this morning and is now winging it's way to Body Mech for the boys there to finish it off, fit a brakelight and spray it black! :D Time's got away from me and my own work's building up so I decided to send my efforts off to them as they do superb work from what I've seen, and also I like to support the forum traders wherever possible. :)

It should be back with me at the end of May. Can't. Wait!!

I went for a drive to try and find a woodruff key to fit bottom pulley and couldn't find the right size.....

I also popped in to local graphic company and got some nice racing stripes to cover the peeling lacquer on the bonnet for Japfest....... lol

It will look mk1 escort mexico'ish....... lol

Is Funky Si going???

I know I will get some stick..........lol

But should look better than paint all peeling off and primer showing through as it looked like a giant bird poo........

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

Ok, so today I learnt that having a complete set of fully adjustable DriftWorks rear suspension take an experienced race engineer 6 hours to do the alignment at a cost of just under £500 to the owner

You can imagine the conversation with the wife did not go well....:scared:

Hope that included corner weighting

Yes, corner weights were checked. I need more weight on the passenger side! Also got some good advice on how to cut more weight out...
