  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

  • These parts turned up from Specialty-Z today. Last significant items for the "bolt on" build. I'll post some more pictures of all the stuff I have collected over the years (literally!) in the "Project

  • Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

Dusted the zed off. Looking at some places to do a little work on the body before it goes up for sale as the garage is needed for my new toy.

Took mine out this evening for the first time (that wasn’t going to MOT and back!)

Took to the garage, stuck some V Power and redex in to give it a clean as it’ll have some old petrol in it!

Petrol gauge sort of works, didn’t go as high as I expected but it did register, so that’s a plus.

Dropped it off at a local garage who are going to do all the belts and a water pump for me!

Not today but I did collect the zed this week from Powerzed...new rear main seal and clutch, new series 2 injectors and wiring loom, new fluids (engine, gearbox, diff), plenum deletes and Jimmer went the extra mile to make the plenum look like new. Plus a bunch more and it has made a world of a difference, the car runs so smooth now, the drive back was an absolute blast.

Huge props to Jimmer and Powerzed.

Weekend trip to Ashbourne, Castleton,Cromford.

Today back to Capel Le Ferne from Oakhill Hotel Cromford 220 miles

In Ashbourne we stayed at the Royal Oak, lovely warm welcome, good food, great value.

Unfortunately cannot say the same at Oakhill which cost nearly twice as much!

  • 2 weeks later...

Yesterday I replaced the air filter - then gave the Zed a clean and wipe down with Blazing Banana spray wax, before putting it back in the garage after using it as a daily last week.

I always buy a universal K&N cone "dry" filter for about £40 on Ebay. It does a decent job and instead of cleaning it I just throw it away and replace every two years. I must have left the last one on a bit longer though, as it was pretty black and gungy 🫢

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I didn’t do it but a local specialist did this week, cut out the rear portion of the sill where is corroded collecting cack as they do. Replaced the metal and re-shutz’d it. An oil change with a new Nissan oil filter. Straight through the MOT with no advisories. The sill is getting painted this week once the shultz has dried properly and then a good polish.
