  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

So, I picked up a new petrol tank up from Gray on Saturday. Thanks again for that Graham!

Spent tonight, cleaning it up, treating the top for surface rust and a couple of coats of Hycote underseal.

Tomorrow night, I'll do the same to the underside!

Good work Dave, make sure you give the underside of the car body some tlc too when the old tank is out of the way. A fine opportunity to clean it up, treat anywhere as required and get some fresh underseal up there!

I definitely will. I've got some thicker brush on hammerite for up there. I'll also coat the underside of the tank in the same once I've fitted it. It stays quite tacky so didn't want to use that before fitting as I'd end up covered in the stuff!

MOT this morning. Passed with flying colours ! The guy said the underneath was like a new car which is entirely testament to Jimmer and the guy that replaced all the rotten arches and inner and outer sills. Very happy and looking forward to Beaulieu with renewed enthusiasm :-)

Underside of the tank painted today, no pics though.

Now time for a cold beer and a steak on the BBQ!

Glad I could help Dave great job you have done and will last years now matey

Managed to get a half day off work today finish off my tank. I managed to swap it over and whilst it was off, treated the underneath of the car for surface rust and then undersealed it.

Should be all good to make the lakeland drive!

Great work, it’s getting me juiced for my underside refurb.

Need to start the mid section next. All the rear looks great now!

Dave, have you got a build thread? I wish more of our subscribed members had one, I think it would help with subscription if we did have more as new registered members would see these “teasers” and want to know more.
