  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

  • These parts turned up from Specialty-Z today. Last significant items for the "bolt on" build. I'll post some more pictures of all the stuff I have collected over the years (literally!) in the "Project

  • Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

It’s available in WHSmiths Gary so should’nt be hard to find, it’s a great feature for my “fetteled” 300ZX! This one is a lot more focused on my Z specifically as apposed to the marque in general but still nice to get the name out there and perk interest. I’m still surprised that they wanted to run a feature on the car without a wild body kit or 1000BHP!

They did feature a Z32 last year with about 700 HP, reportedly.

I get the feeling those days are over for jap cars (thank god), ok maybe the horse power thing is still relevant but body kits are looking like a thing of the past. 99% of the really respected 300 tend to be the OEM+ now.

Very true and while I still like some of the well made Jap kits its good to see we have moved on from the boy racer days.

That’s not the case for the magazine in general though!

Yes, the mag front cover seems to suggest that body kits are still rife however I don’t see many cars with them fitted anymore

After discovering the Zed has not boost 2 years ago, I finally took a trip to Bristol for Jimmer to fix! Stop off in Reading to have lunch with my daughter, who's at University, then back to Geddington

I decided to bite the bullet last week and get my alloys refurbished. Even though they were brand new a couple of years ago, they'd picked up some kerb rash and looked generally a bit tatty! :(

So now they're back and finished in Anthracite, which isn't really all that different to how they looked originally. But gone GONE are the stretched tyres on the back wheels! She's wearing Goodyear Eagle F1 ASYM2 rubber in 265/30/19 size and it's a much better fit. Although I have had to raise the rear ride height a little to compensate.

Anyhoo, I spent this afternoon cleaning the old girl as she's off to her first show of the year tomorrow. It'll be a rare day off work, if nothing else....

First thing I think whenever I see stretched tyres is how long are those wheels gonna last!

Some people get a spanner on from the top, but personally I do it with 4 extensions, and you can undo the tranny mount and tip the engine a bit if you need.

Try both methods.
