  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

Looking good, just swap your front wheels left to right. It's bugging me......

I never noticed that! Now that you mention it, it looks odd [emoji23]

Whilst tinkering I noticed that my wheel nuts were getting seriously shabby! So last night I took them into work for a spruce up. They’re not perfect but certainly better than the weathered, oxidised finish that they were.

I’ve literally been flat out all day on the car today and ran out of light and time. The car is still more than presentable but I only managed to do the final cut of polish on one side and seal that side, the other is slightly swirly from the course cut (hopefully is doesn’t hologram). I’ll be slapping some glaze products on in the NEC tomorrow to fill all the imperfections so fingers crossed it’ll look good.

I managed to get a lot done which is lucky as there was a lot to do and put back together, it has a “wheely” good detail!...

I’ve been putting the final bits and bobs together this evening for the show plates and my plinth (which is new for the year) and I’ll be setting off nice and early tomorrow morning.

Hopefully see you over the weekend if you’re coming along to the Classic Motor Show [emoji41]

Soooo very nice man :tt1:

I washed it, overinflated the tires, topped up the fuel tank and sent it into winter hibernation... 348062fa75abf1421ba68631dd6a0328.jpg

I took my Z out today and blatted it around some quiet country lanes for no apparent reason! I was going to stop somewhere nice and take some pictures but I was too engrossed in boost to stop!

Well deserved, considering it sat still for the last 3 days....:cool:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I went to llandow race circuit in the pissing rain and tried to keep my zed in a straight line!!!! Absolute animal of a car , needs more grip though.Adam 3.jpg

Great track action pics mate. In the wet its so hard to find grip.

Cheers gazz,

Going to put some more photos on my journal thread. Also going to develop the car some more . All the mods i have done over the last few months have made it a great car to drive .Nothing could keep up on the straights

My boot struts we’re failing so paid to have the originals re gassed, but the seals had popped so had some boot struts made up at a company called SGS who made them to original spec.

My car is over with Jimmer at the moment having some bushes and seals replaced and also a few bits and bobs.

You can just about see the underseal I had done last week at Anson Autos from the pics below. Not very Rick n roll I know, but the practical stuff comes 1st with me.

I’m just waiting on the spoiler which Ash is kindly sourcing for me as Mr Yellow Zed snaffled the one I was going to buy.

Soon as I have that, the paint work is going to have a good going over. Will be sparkly new by Feb all being well. [emoji16]

Big thank you to GazWoz for sourcing a top car. Few bumps along the road, but all in all a great car. Thanks Gaz!

I hitched a lift to RAF Valley (in a Vauxhall not an Augusta Westland unfortunately) and retrieved my car

Screenshot_2017-11-24-17-35-47.jpg

It didn't start the awkward beast. But I borrowed some electricity and it did in a turn of the key.

IMG-20171124-WA0025.jpg

I'm glad I got chance to drive it. It drove on the 4th Sept for my track day. Then I drove myself to Valley a few weeks ago just to drive it 30 miles in a loop! But today it's home. The brakes have recovered a bit on the drive after the track day gave them a hard time.

I forget how bloody powerful it is, I've missed it :)

I wouldn't attache that negative cable their Tom you could end up in that field with the cows!

Haha  That's not me it's jump lead hero Taff Morris.

There car was like, volumetricly full, of gear, full window to window carpet to targa. Bearing pullers, water pumps, gearbox components, jerry cans of fuel...

No bloody jump leads, they were in a Honda in Shropshire

And Gary, those are "wool-cows" as we call them in the North East  not "milk-cows"

I saw this out the window, and despite 90% of this image being an argument for staying indoors, those few red pixels dragged a smile onto my face and my arse into the car

IMG-20171202-WA0000.jpg

If there had been any doubt in my mind as I bleeped the car open while skipping to avoid puddles, it vanished with the slightly clattery but familiar shut of the door and the smell of an old Nissan.

20171202_120754.jpg

I went nowhere in particular, just to wherever seemed quiet, but for the scrabbling scuffs of rubber, the splutter of turbos and the beat of Dire Straits.

I only alarmed myself slightly when I realised your level of grip stays exactly the same regardless of how loudly you play "Money For Nothing". because it honestly feels like you should have more

All in all the zed has earned it's layer of brown grime and a new spot in the car park. I left it to tick cool with a loving pat on the Targa.

Stay safe out on those skitey roads guys :)

I got out for a short drive to the petrol station, pumped up the tyres, added fuel then came back home before washing it and tucking it back down the side of the house. Was great to get out in it for a bit[emoji16]f951d528f9524a8901f17ddaba829b7e.jpg
