  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

Yeah, they're lovely.

This is what I have planned one day! I'll probably buy another Z32 in the next 12 months to have over in the US and will get some of these made up for them. There's a company in Poland that do incredible conversions on OEM wheels.

Just a shame they aren't handed, at you get 40 or 22 offset. Some more arch more required.

We drive through the top of France past Reims and Nancy to Mulhouse on the Swiss border. From there into Switzerland pass Olten on our way to Lake Lucerne. Next day we leave Lucerne and head for the Stelvio Pass, over the mountains and arrive at Lake Como.

From Como to Venice we then back track through Tuscany via Milan and pick up the Italian coast road and make our way to French Menton. Next a lap or two in Monaco followed by a traffic jam or two in Cannes. Big slog from there to Limoges and finally Rouen before heading home.

Done the same trip 4 years ago and it was fantastic. Nothing booked other than our first night!! Love it.

That sounds awesome [emoji57]

Yes Joely it is awesome mate. Great roads, great weather in a great car as you well know.

It would be good to tour with more Zeds, similar to what you did last year; a Zedball rally!

Last year's jaunt to the south of France with Joel, Andrew and myself was theeeeee best drive I've had in my Z in the 12 years I've owned it and I've taken it overseas about 6 or 7 times. Simply fantastic, the drive was awesome, the weather was perfect, the cars got a staggering amount of attention, for more than any of us envisaged and they looked so good together; the fact that we were the French flag also helped!

There have been vague discussions about the 3 of us going to Monaco later this year.

I'm going to get this turned into a giant canvas for my study!

I remember following your tour, enjoying the posts and loving the pictures Si. Monaco in the Zed was fantastic and it certainly was not out of place in Casino Square.

As for getting that picture put on canvas, very nice! Maybe I'll have a crack at painting it.

LOL, I struggled. I know Chris who owns leatherwheels.com and he made an auto gaiter for a friend of mine out in Arkansas - it took a while, but managed to get used to it!

Oh but you're quite wrong. :p

Chris was great to work with! He did my shifter and Redline did my boot cover... I love one of a kind custom looks...

PERFECT!! I think my dial rings are likely to come off too - as much as I like them, I think stock is easier on the eye.

Et voilà!

Nice accent that stands out! Where did you guys order those from? I have the 4 spoke wheel on the 95'. Would it fit?

Treated her to a coat of wax and then gave the interior a lovely coat of leather cream care. This is how she looks out the window.

I'm not sure how well they fit the four spoke wheels as they replace the existing OEM badge which fits in a recess.

Probably if you glued it on.

I got into trouble again today.

Couple of updates

Noz came saw played runs really well on just a base map, engine is really good.

Adam (garage friend) says he can weld it properly and MOT for £1000, obviously if it goes back on the road service and belt kit are a bit more.

Finally now has a name - it's been christened "helmet" by my friend due to the shade of purple.

Now not sure what to do :helpsmilie:

What's up Andrew?! Lol I'll send you my final confirmation for the 25th anniversary decals..... Honestly I forgot! I'll do it tonight

Potentially a nice old Merc in the background.... Is it an SL or SLC?

Not sure as those are the pics from the guy I bought it from.

I have a friend who has something similar and we just know it as the Mercedes Dictator :lol::lol::lol:
