  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

I don't think I'll chance ruining a good set of OEM ones for a cheap set of aftermarket ones! Interesting idea for the moss though - does the heat not cause any damage?

No the heat won't damage it.. It's actually cooling as it comes out the nozzle so although it's hot, it's not hot enough to melt anything

Changed my mind last minute! Instead of a gloss black tache and mirror surrounds, I'm going for Toyota 1G3:)

Good! This was what I told Joel to go for. It's basically shade-matched to the original finish on the mirror housing.

You won't be disappointed coopd Magnetic Grey Metallic is the way forward. [emoji106] Simon was definitely spot on with that discovery.

Si you have the wrong tyres fitted to your zed mate.....:tt2:

Incorrect, just because MB had them made for their factory models, doesn't mean I can't have it for mine! :p

They simply will not work on any other car!

Productive few hours this morning.

Rear calipers stripped and all pieces cleaned up. Rebuilt with new seals, Fuchs red rubber grease and new Mintex pads.

Hopefully get around to the front ones in a few weeks.

Zed #2: 1998 Midnight Purple 2+2 NA. (owned 2020 - now)

Another wash and wax today. I never wanted another red car but AJ4 is growing on me :)

Also went out for a drive last night so the car wouldn't be sitting for five days. Two lessons - much faster than a DC2, and the Japspeed catback can attract police fairly quickly :whistling:

Yeah, NA's are pretty noisey decatted. It so bad on a TT, I'd consider mine fairly quiet.

Are kakimoto's decatted do you know? Or can the systems differ?

Damn it's noisy

Took her out today and ate through £20 of ultimate unleaded. Good fun.

Went through the diagnostics for the AC to see why it only blows hot air, long standing fault. It now blows cool air, not cold as I don't have AC as such. Dunno how it fixed it or how long it will last. Anyways.

Picked the wife up from work in the zed who moaned the whole way home about it being bumpy. It's fine on the major roads but the minor roads especially puns the house are absolutely terrible, funny you don't notice how bad till your in something unforgiving.

You would have to get under and look. If it's just a kakimoto cat back obviously it wouldn't even be relivant. You need to check what front pipes are on it.

Will do, I have to go take the starter out anyway so will check then. Either way it's loud as hell.

It's not even decatted! Standard apart from the back boxes.

If it's a catback system, as are most, then it's only from the cats back ;)

I cleaned all the plastic from the back and the trunk.

The result :nuke: 26 years of dust can make the water really dirty!!

You did a great job of arranging all the pieces in exactly the same position in the before and after pictures! Very difficult to tell the difference though [emoji13]

Well, I thought the color of the water in the bucket was pretty obvious :tt2:

Bypassed th FPCU with a permanent live from the battery, with a 5 pin really, thicker gauge wire and special bulkhead connector on the tank lid, which enabled me to wire directly to the AEM fuel pump. All worked as it should and now have a higher voltage supplying the pump. Many thanks to Nickz32 for his help.

Sorry forgot to take pics:oops:

Adjusted the height of my suspension,it was a bit low so raised it my 20mm, Really easy to adjust (well easy for me to say with Ramps at hand),I'll see what it looks like ( stance wise )in the next few days.

Might need to borrow your ramps to do mine Gray :-). Getting fitted at Lee's on Saturday.

Most winters my slicktop sits outside neglected for months on end. This winter has finally wrecked a lot of the paint so I decided to freshen up the back half in preparation for Japfest.
