  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

lovely sunny day so decided to finish work early, get car out of hibernation and give it a wash and then pick kids up from school. Then decided to have a detour driving back and took a few pictures to share.

Various reasons why my fully led switchback lights are back on the bench, one is i wanted to do the tail light part brighter and also the stop light chamber much much brighter.

Wanted to hide the led's more as well, the way i had them they didn't look as clear or as white as i would of liked from the outside.

Because i am not using the red stock diffuser and it's a bumpy layout unlike the bottom which lends itself to strips very well, i have worked out a way to attach a full strip for greatest possible spread of light and another main criteria for me was for both chambers to perfectly be equal in every way.

I have tested behind the both clear lenses and i couldn't be happier, i have a yellow bright strip in the bottom, you can just see it, this isn't quite as long but fills the chamber 100%, again you have to work with what you have - you cannot just put where you want.

Looks good bud

finished the install of new fuel pipes from the tank to engine, complete with 10micron fuel filter and MSA Fuel Sampling Kit.

Had it serviced and MOTd.........

........Naturally it passed (not that I was worried) but it got its first advisory..... Apparently my front tyres are wearing low on the inner edges!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Now Rich you have to drive it hard enough to wear the outside edges too

Trip to Andy to install an updated rear panel. That's the problem if you leave stuff with him you get a message "what if we do this then". This panel not only has the red top chambers but they act as stop tails to match the big units and Andy installed his new CREE fog light units that are very bright. 20150307_175937.jpg

LOL - I'll wager that contributed to the wear in the first place....:whistling:

Oh, and I gave it a nice clean when I collected it this afternoon.....

I got my Zed off the jacks first time in 2 years, then drove her about 3 meters back and forth. The clutch needs further bleeding it seems, as my foot was on the floor and it was still notchy changing. The brakes don't seem to do anything without really pumping the pedal, so more bleeding... For some reason there wasn't any power steering, when I checked there wasn't any fluid, despite filling it up, maybe it emptied the reservoir and needs topping up.

The main thing is she moves, and it felt good! :D

I actually forgot how low Zeds are, at fist I thought something was wrong! lol

Gave her a wash.then fitted some boot hatch struts that save my head from getting squished anymore then repared the hatch blind that started to undo. All in all a productive afternoon.

Took 4 hours fitting rear parking sensors!

Not sure it was worth it! But done now!!image.jpg

Fitted a replacement PAS pot as mine was looking a little tatty. I was worried that it would look a bit too bling and had the intention of powder coating my removed pot satin black but I actually don't mind it. It's powder coated aluminium silver so isn't too bling!

I also fitted some Z1 black silicon intake hoses which I recovered in the OEM heat insulation foam:

Bypassed the idle control valve at last, started dialling in the new blow-through MAF sensor on the dyno finally.
