Going to start this thread for members to post up what they did each day to there zed. I will start with getting my MOT this morning. So what did you do today on your 300?:cool3:

Can now check sensors and fault codes....

 

And what did they show?

We took ours for a spin out in the sunshine and were rewarded with a van going into the back of us!

Code 55..... Absolutely nothing...... all fine.....

Everything looks good...... she is running very smooth......

The auto transmission shows No error codes either.......

Just need to understand the A/F mix reading that says AF and AF Right Hand...... one says rich and other says lean????

So I shall be dumping the oil out of the auto box in the next few weeks, cleaning the filter, replacing the seal and refilling with nice fresh fluid...... then flushing again a few weeks later to make sure torque converter is fresh as well..... been reading this is how to do it....?

I am getting feeling that the transmission maybe causing some of the lack of power being put down then suddenly bites and back end goes..... need to get someone to check it out who knows Z auto boxes.....

Tell me about it! I've had a look underneath and all seems ok. I was stopped and he wasn't doing more than 10mph. I think it just flexed the bumper which took the paint off. I don't think the bumper is even deformed. The guy said he would pay for any damage...

....I decided to take my Zed to Cornwall last week and, having covered around 800 miles, it was covered in all kinds of road grime and crap. As usual, the Zed did not miss a beat - the only pain was the fuel cost - but it was worth it....:wink:

Got a phone call from his insurance company today. The garage will collect the car tomorrow, check the car, fix all damage and give a life time guarantee. I even get a hire car for the duration. Hope it wont be too long though, ill miss my baby!

Well first day at work over and it was extremely busy today after Christmas holidays....... I think I will enjoy it...... but going to take time to learn what I am doing.......lol

I went for a drive in the Z after work and she felt good.............. slippery........ but good....... lol

I noticed last night when i took a walk around night video showing mainly my rear lights that my blue ring was flickering.

Yesterday, actually, - yet another 400mile roundtrip in a day from London to Barnstaple and back. Nice mix of A, B, Dual and M. Filthy weather, snow/slushstorm in North Devon. But what other car would I enjoy this in? The joys of stock reliability, handling, comfort suits the 300ZX as "Grand Tourer" which is what it's supposed to be. As the Hendon boys say "making good progress" and - which is the reason for this post - my highest ever mpg in a Z. OK it's an NA but it is Auto. 30.0mpg - and if I hadn't done my morning commute before filling up this am, it would have been higher. Normal Shell Unleaded, too...

Have them out for an overhaul.

Bought some new steering rack poly bushes for the zed whilst the engine is out at jims ..why not :)
