  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

Finally fitted my boost controler and replaced all the pipes whilst I was there.

Also started the big clean up as it's a right mess under there :(

I finished painting my engine bay and built a hoist -

Somebody's nicked all your front end.......lol

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

Went out to get petrol and set up the boost controller and it started to rain. Thought arhh why not let's test the tyres out. So I set the hi boost at 1.2 and a gain of 75% and boy does it fly and she at a bit of wheel spin at 50mph even with the fat tyres on

Next was 1.1/0.9 and 0.8 which I've always has it set at and a gain of 10% and she still feels quicker than before so one of the pipes I changed yesterday must of had a leak?

Also found out when in japan the car has had boost jets in, put on the turbo side and i put them in on the other end lol.

Last dyno she pulled 338hp at 0.7 bar with a few boost leaks and seriously running rich. Now I've done a few mods so off to noz next and hopefully see 400hp :)

Sorted out a blown dash bulb by replacing with LED's.

Continued general tidying up of panels and wires. Traced a few wires that seemed to do nothing (and in fact do nothing).

Took her for a drive this morning. first proper outing since removing the Decats. The sound is so much nicer now.

Will we ever get any pics?

Me and the old man tried to get some a few weeks back, we got into a blast going up hill and. When I got to the top I had to slow down to let him catch up, once he did he flashed his lights to pull over, guess what he blew his engine up so that was the end of that :(

don't like the square shape rear plates.

Hey dude.

You ought to head over to http://www.fancyplates.com and get a rear one cut exactly to size. It's cheap too and you can choose sizing/font etc. I went for a plain looking one and got them to cut the plate and fit the font to my spec.

Does anyone have the sizing for the back plate on a JDM?

I had mine done a while back and its a few mm out (my measurements so can't blame anyone else!!!)

I seam sealed the N/S floorpan and welding that I have been attempting.

Mended my broken short scuttle panel with some lovely 'milliput', let it dry and then wet flat it and now it looks like a new panel.... Just have to repaint the other panel to match now....

I also ordered enough Dynamat sound deadening to do the whole car, T bar clamps for all pipework, ordered new brake pads for the front and found a wonderful company who sell rubber blanking plugs and grommets who supply samples of their products, so I requested one for my missing floor bung along with a few other goodies....

I can definitely say that meeting Shortz and 300 zeds has given me the kick up the rear I needed to get on with my Z.....

Picked up a big stone chip on mine and I suspect the postman scraped his bag right down the side of him so he's back to the body shop for paint n polish

Removed the raised NISSAN name, painted and fitted the rear calipers from my silver Z which I had overhauled a couple of years ago and added a Brembo sticker.

Also fitted some new drilled and grooved dics.

Tried fitting replacement clutch booster hose...failed, split both ends. Resorting to plain black silicone hose after much swearing and bleeding fingers. ****ing ****ish ****ing piece of ****

No amount of boiling water and Fairy Liquid could help!
