  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

Got some reclaimed wood from a local timber yard and knocked up some ramps. It was slightly more 'reclaimed' than I hoped to be honest as a good 30% of it was spilt beyond use, more than half of it was warped and twisted and all of it was a mixture of widths in and around 9" but I made it work! Should help a fair bit as jacking can be a right pain in the hoop on my driveway...

I like that Andy, gives it a nice sense of depth and finishes off really nicely. Did you get the piping made then glued it on or did you buy a roll from somewhere?

Initially I was looking to buy some cord or rope from ebay but I have an upholsterer friend so went asking him, they make it up by just cutting out a 2 inch or so piece of fabric and folding/stitching it around a length of like cotton wool tubing. You can see it clearly as it runs down the top sides of the center arm rest. In the other areas I forced this 'flange' under, the only bits I hot glued were on the roof of the glove box and a bit under the handbrake.

So should I need to remove some panels it will just be a case of forcing it back under again.

On the doors I cut this flange off as close to the stitching as possible and used hot glue to hold in place :thumbup1:.

brilliant work sir

Resprayed and refitted the wiper arms, gave her a wash and a wax and then taxed her. Great to have her back on the road. Cambelt change next weekend.

Started fitting everything back together, most of the pics are on my Facebook, but I love my front end so thought i'd share it lol
