Hi. I'm new to the forum, but doing a full restoration of a 93 Z32. Which had had some front end damage, where someone in a pick up smacked into it with bull bars. Off side head light was smashed. Headlight mounting plate was bent, off side wing bent and front bumper smashed. All that has been fixed, except the nuts and bolts that fix the bumper to the front wings. Does anyone know the size and thread pitch of these? Thanks in advance, Ash

Hey all, Having a nightmare trying to find insurance for my 300. Got a quote a few months back of £385 on a comparison site when I was 23 years old on a 0 NCB policy as it's a 2nd car. Now I'm 24, it's gone up to £490 for the cheapest one, but that's excluding my boost controller and turbo timer as they don't have a mod category for those. Other comparison sites I'm getting over a grand. Lancaster won't insure me because I'm not >25, same with Footman James, Performance direct want £1687 with no mods declared, no quote with mods declared. So after speaking with a couple of garages today, its seems like they will only align the car to either the FSM details, or if I give specific data they will use this info. I was hoping that they would offer some input or advice given that my car is lowered, but they only want to use set data, so does the fact that the car is lowered, negate the factory setup? Just got my Z LHS mirror hit by some azzhole in my parking. Fixed it but don´t wish this to happen anymoar...anyone knows where they can sell side mirror protection covers for the Z?

after finally finishing all of the "dirty" jobs on the underside of get car, I am at last look at getting the parts /wiring together for the amp and a JL sub that I have had for years into the car. I have had a look at the various kits from Maplins and Car Audio Security, and even read articles from Crutchfield.com about working what gauge to run from the battery to the amp and sub. But to be honest I'm more confused now. can anyone point me in the right direction of cable size or even better a complete kit? It's been a long day and I'm tired and no doubt being stupid. Just been doing my pre MOT checks and found my rear number plate lights aren't working. It's coming round to that time of year again. I.e. Fly back to the uk and spend some quality time on the zed. This time last year I thought I had finished but I've to keep myself busy Woking out how best to waste my money on my car based OCD. Hi Anyone got any idea why my power steering goes heavy when the weather is wet or damp. When it happens it is for a little while, then its like a switch turning on and its fine again. Got car back 2 weeks ago from having cam belt replaced, mentioned this at the time, mechanic checked over, new PS belt, no leaks, he did say there was a little air in the system which he removed and when i picked up no problems. Now weather has changed goes heavy. Getting frustrating and have MOT next week.

Just a general question , what do forum members use on their black window trims and door top seals ?? to keep th erubber in good condition and bring back the lustre, ive used armour all but it wears off after a few days any sugestions cheers

Has anyone changed the starter relay inhibitor on their car? Either UK or JDM? I have read the link below from the TT.net site, and I cannot see the relay in the passenger side wing. I then checked the drivers side and my car doesn't have the small black canister mentioned in the how to guide, or as far as I can see this blue relay. Hey, So I'm looking for a Idle Air Control Valve (IACV) Gasket. I saw this - https://conceptzperformance.com/nissan-oem-aac-idle-air-control-valve-iacv-valve-gasket-nissan-300zx-90-96-z32-23785-40f00_p_2028.php I've taken a picture of the plenum and I know the shape of it, but I've seen variations, one with two sides (so two holes separated by a thin strip in the middle), another with one side blocked off (so no hole in one side of the gasket) and the final one which was just a general big hole (the link above). Can anyone tell me which one I need, and the cheapest place to buy one? Cheers!

hi guys just after a little advice, i picked up a nice series 2 suede interior panels today, the only issue i can see with them is the rear 1/4 panels the front & top of the raised part the suede has come away from the panel, is it possible to gently pull the suede off these and re-glue them down? having never removed the suede before i don't know if there is any foam under the suede. or the best type of glue to do them.

Hi can you powder coat rocker cover with out removing internal baffle plate I've notice one of the plastic bits in one of the rocker cover is broken oil filler one does it matter thanks Stephen

I have had a 300ZX since 2001 (UK Twin Turbo), now has 142,000 miles on the clock, took it in for service and MOT but at the same time asked garage to look at issues with Turbos, service and MOT fine (I think) but couldn't sort out Turbo problem but they recommended a tuning company that could. Taking the car home I noticed the car now sounds like a sewing machine, always had slightly noisy lifters but now awful. Took car to tuning company and now they and original garage are having an oil argument. Synthetic oil - 10w30 was used for the service but tuning company reckon they should have used semi synthetic, I have looked back on my service records and can see in 200…

Hi all, My hicas light keeps coming on after a few miles of motorway driving. It doesn't come on for country roads or round town. Any ideas? I've topped up my fluid so it's not that, also it feels fine and it's not twitching round corners etc. Could it something like the Hicas ECU? Cheers

So, I'll probably regret this but what the hey!! Just home from a 600 km round trip to go fetch this:innocent::whistling: 1989 Factory manual TT SWB!!:yes: It's missing a few bits and has some rust, also has a "Noddy and Big Ears" themed engine bay:scared::thumbdown: Was running before it had its gearbox, diff, drive shafts, brakes and exhaust stripped off it:whistling: Needs a bonnet, new trims, and some paint and bodywork, but it'll be a work in progress. Hi all, Refurbing the ol' fuel tank and the small vac line was very weak. Upon wire brushing I noticed a small hole, and hey presto it's now off. Am I right in saying this is the vac line for the carbon canister? Can't find much from googling. I'm wondering what the fuel (pun intended) purpose of this is/what it'd affect, and then.. how would I repair it? I can see roughly where it goes, and will be taking the fuel pump off regardless to get better access. Is it easy to route a new pipe in and secure it or will I need to weld it? Cheers!

I am having my Aircon charged tomorrow. However I do not have my inlet rubber intake pipes fitted. Will my car tick over whilst the Aircon is charged without them in place? Car won't be on the road until June so obviously they will be refitted by then.
