Heavy Steering when weather wet/damp

Hi

Anyone got any idea why my power steering goes heavy when the weather is wet or damp. When it happens it is for a little while, then its like a switch turning on and its fine again. Got car back 2 weeks ago from having cam belt replaced, mentioned this at the time, mechanic checked over, new PS belt, no leaks, he did say there was a little air in the system which he removed and when i picked up no problems. Now weather has changed goes heavy.

Getting frustrating and have MOT next week.

    Could be the speed sensor getting wet and shorting out?

     

    Steering weight is lightened/loaded up dependant on speed
