heres the scoop.... Got my car back from Nissan today, they replaced the Air Flow Meter saying it would fix my hesitation problems. Drove the car to work, Brakes failed, power steering failed, Black smoke pissed out the back of the car and then it stalled, finally got it started, left it to idle and watch the rev counter bounce from 0 to 2000, 0 to 1000, the f^&*king think looked like a clock being wound up, lights flashing smoke pissing out etc, called the Nissan emergency guy who brought the consult out to where the car had died plugged it in, and had the balls to tell me the car seemed fine....then told me to drive it back to Nissan while keeping it above 2000 rev…

Hi all, When I test drove my Jap imp. TT 2+2 about a month and a half ago the tyres on it were knackered. Before finalizing the deal I asked the seller to put a new set of 4 tyres on it. He obliged, I purchased the car only to find out he put 4 225/50ZR16's on it. I understand from reading the posts that a TT should have 225's in the front and 245's at the rear. Can anybody please confirm that I can put 245's on the standard rims that came on the car? Eventually, what I'd like to do is get a set of slick looking aftermarket rims (like 18" Kahn RS-R's for example) and have 235's in the front and 265's at the rear. However, due to the fact that the car is regularly at …

My newly aquired Jap spec '90 TT is coming up to the 60K cambelt change. Roughly, how much should this cost me? Anyone know of a good, trustworthy garage in the SE? I'm based just outside Canterbury, Kent.

Just in case anyone is interested I have found a source of very cheap discs. However it is the usually story, to make the purchase worthwhile I need to know how many people are interested. To get you started here is what they look like: Slotted and X-drilled for the front. ....and Slotted for the rear. Now for the price. £150 for all four discs. If you would like to know more please leave a reply below or (better) email me a mwalton@35sigs.com.

Did anyone see the Ruby Wax program just on BBC1 about the Gumball Rally across Europe? What a laugh. Watching Damon Hill getting pulled by the police in London driving a Diablo split my sides. They asked him - "Do you know how dangerous it is using your mobile while driving? You were not in full control of the vehicle"!!! Damon - "I of all people should know how dangerous it is. Sorry officer" LOL Some guy trashed a white ferrari spyder, rolled it over a ditch and a few hundred yards through a field and both were OK. I was amazed. I would love to have a go at that. Think it was London to St Petersburg and back over 5 days none stop.

Anyone who went to the Max Power show, will have no doubt seen the awesome looking Silver Zed that won best modified car award. The guy who built and owns this called Walter is hoping to come down next weekend to Billing, as he's not a member of any clubs i told him to give anyone a shout on our stand and we would happily oblige him a space, if that's okay. Anyone who has'nt seen this car, look out for it, built with parts from around 12 different makes of cars and some of it was'nt expensive to do, if you live up North this is your man to fit a kit. alrighty then i think i have a working set of scripts for you to upload and edit your own rides... if you all hadn't been waiting so long i'm sure there would be a cheer.... but as it is, it'll probably be a big "at last" that i'll hear... lol the edit link is in the rides menu, and you can link to the ride of each user from their profile, or find in the list from the menu... please please please bug test it for me and let me know it should convert your username to lowercase, and also convert any spaces to underscores, to keep a consistent structure if you know html, then you should create an index.htm file which will stop all of your…

F*CK SH*T and B*LLOCKS Are you sitting comfortably, then we'll begin... Driving out of the blackwall tunnel towards Stratford, a Ford 12 tonne tipper truck swerves to avoid the vehicle pulling across in front of it, the back of the truck spins out into my lane I try to brake and pull to the right, the left wing of my Z goes under the rear overhang of the truck and the flatbed of the truck takes out my windscreen piller scaring the life out of my girlfriend(we had the T-tops off and windows down)! The wing is damaged and the windscreen piller has a dent which has smashed the windscreen, oh and the wing mirror is busted! All this and a leaking heater core! T…

My dear mum and dad went on holiday today. A day late after their Sierra brokedown. Unfortunatly they had no option but to take my car. Actually they did have another option of taking my girlfriends Corsa. Guess which car my dad prefered to take. Hmmm. Twin Turbo Z or a Corsa. Hmmm. So I am stranded at home having to walk 3 miles to work. I can see her when I close my eyes Tell me about your Z'ds I am having withdrawls. Stuart Sniff Sniff

Has anyone else got this problem. When i start up the mean machine, for the first time, the gear change from first to second only happens after about 5000rpm. Then it also immedietely goes from second to third. When its warmed up, it changed smoothly throughout. It's been like that since i got it. Next thing. Do you think its worth getting the car serviced from Nissan. They're charging about £260 and they call that the full service but all they really change is the oil, oil filter, brake fluid and antifreeze. They say they check everything else but it really doesn't seem worth it. The reason i was going to take it to them is that i've got a clicking noise whe…

Don`tknow about you guys but this is really taking the p??s. Last week there was a fatal accident near Nuneaton on the A5 where the A444 crosses. This is a notorious accident spot and all who live and work by it know this. However a police Range Rover answering an emergency call failed to reduce his speed at this junction enough,so when a 73 year old driver (I know,I know ) emerged from the the clear open juction the Range Rover did an impression of an Exocett missile hitting a battleship broadside!! complete carnage the wheels were ripped off the police vehicle and no panel left unbattered. If this was`nt enough my eagle eyed brother noticed the reg. plate on the police fo…

Morning all, As my car is currently in the garage getting it's radiator rebuilt and a fuel leak fixed, I have some time to think ahead to next projects. I am already well advanced on my ICE planning (all-round Alpine system incl. 10" sub, Amp, head and component speakers). Will start fabricating the housing for the sub and the amp when the car is back. What I'd also like to have done is get window tinting. I have currently got horrible tinting on the hatch window which has an untinted strip right across (former Japanese owner did this). I am trying to find a place that will take this crap off (which seems to be difficult as the glue refuses to be scraped off wit…

Here's a question for all the PC experts. I've built a new computer and it has 2x 75GB IBM ATA100 drives in it. The BIOS sees them fine as 75GB. However, FDISK says that they are 7.5GB and will only format them ilke that. What do i have to do to get around this? Is there a newer FDISK which corects this? I'm using the one from Win98SE. Any help would be appreciated. Andy

I just found this site tonight and was looking through the rides on it.. and I gotta hand it to ya, those airholes are pretty impressive. Did you get a kit or anything to help you do it? Or can you give me some idea of where to start because I really like the way that looks.. Looks real slick and tough.
