Well my first full tankfull made no difference whatsoever to the mpg and no discernible difference to performance - it just cost more and it was a pain to find. I'll continue to use it for about a month just to give it a chance and then decide. Maybe it's just a 'track day' fuel rather than every day. Make a difference to anyone else ? Maybe it only makes a difference for the more highly tuned engines and when they're driven harder than just in daily traffic ? I'll publish my fuel consumption figures sometime soon and you can judge for yourselves. (If anyone wants a copy of my noddy fuel calculating spreadsheet then let me know).

Danny, Can't make today, tried to call your number but it's telling me it's not in use! I have to wait in for the plumber, my hot water pipes burst this morning, not too much damage as I turned the water off and drianed the system right away (I know where the valve is) but I have to wait for the plumber to arrive, friend of the family and he will be here ASAP, but that could be 5 O'clock knowing him. We will have to arrange for another time. Let me know you get this, I will mail you also now! Matty. ------------------ Am gonna be gettin one of those, one day...(sigh) :D

Have come across a good deal on Castrol Magnetec from a slightly dodgy Nissan dealer £10 for a 4.5 litre can!! if I buy 10 now that is cheap,I changed my oil again today ( Charged me £12 for a single can) as the debate about fully synthetic oil been too thin has had me thinking that maybe a synthetic base oil is more appropriate for the tt engines and as I have done some recent upgrading (JWT Chip, boost etc) I have lots of trade contacts and this is by far the cheapest price on Castrol. The guy told me how they sell it for that price and I was gobsmacked, all I can say is never take any car to a Nissan dealer for an oil change!!. One of our members came on the phone to me today to order an exhaust. No problem I say. Next the ole chap wants advice on an induction kit. Blitz / HKS ? I say. Nope I want an induction kit that will give me 20BHP gain over standard. Fuck me I say YOUR HAVING A LAUGH. Nope. "I have been told that this particular induction kit will give me 20bhp gain and can bee backed up by rolling road figures." I don`t want to mention the suppliers of this particular kit. Calibrate the Rolling Road me thinkZ. Upon my reaction to this my customer seemed a little shocked. O.K boyZ tell it like it is lol. CheerZ Johnny

OK - I'm taking the inlet manifolds off (as many of you know already ), and I'm contemplating getting the injectors ultrasonically cleaned & balanced (I'd upgrade but a) stock turbos so no point, and b) I can't afford a grand on injectors!).. Do people have any preferred places for this? Is it worth risking damaging them getting them out of the fuel rail to get it done? Or just leave well alone? An earlier thread led me to think it might be a laugh to recount those horror stories - but not just the big crashes. Let me start by setting the scene ... Driving along happily about 500 yards from a roundabout at about 40 mph in my Datsun 100A (and, no, that's not the horror story). Wasp flies in the window. With incredible precision I hit him with the back of my hand but don't kill him. Initial problem - one seriously pissed off wasp. Pissed off wasp drops like a stone between my legs. Second problem - one seriously scared Hairsy. Immediate reaction is to stand up. Third problem - I had one foot covering the accelerator and one foot covering th…

Calling all IT boys out there ...! I just updated my McAffee virus definition files and wouldn't you know it, it found an infected file. The file in question, SYSOCMGQ.EXE was allegedly infected with the W32/MAGISTR.DAM3 virus and was "untreatable" and was therefore deleted off my system. Now, when I start the PC up a warning screen pops up saying it can't find this file and if I would be so kind as to change the reference to it in the WIN.INI file. In the file the .exe is referenced to in the [WINDOWS] section and reads: RUN=SYSOCMGQ.EXE. Before I delete this line and could someone tell me what this file is actually used for and if I need to replace it with a clean…
