My avcr display gets very hot. After a couple of hours it is almost too hot to handle. Does anyone else's have this problem, or is there something wrong with mine ? ------------------ UK 92 TT White(ish) Mongoose K&N AVCR KYB Eibach RLTC

Johnny, I tried to call you but the phone is always engaged. you must be busy. I asked you to source shock absorbers for my zed and you told be about the group buy for the full set with springs. Any news on this yet as the handling on mine is crap to say the least as one shock is leaking? Also have you got details of the Zed specialists in Silverstone that you mentioned in an earlier post. Many thanks Simon P. smpass@freenet.co.uk

AS my clock has been playing up (common problem) I decided to pop to my local scrap yard. After searching all the usual rubbish citroens, peugeots, fords etc, an old 'H' reg Toyota Carina caught my eye. Looked in and 'JOY' it had a clock exactly the same size shape and colour, just a different button layout and as a bonous it works too!!!! Best part woz it cost a pricely sum of £4.00 WAAAZZZZZAAAATTTTTT!!!!!! Jon.

I am thinking of selling my TT Z and buying a Non-Turbo Z. I am 21 and I have decided that I have had enough of paying ridiculas insurance on an import TT. Is there a big difference in insurance between the TT and Non Turbo version? What about reliability? Which out of the two has less problems?

Hi all, After all the time I owned my Z, I have never had the opportunity to try its top speed.....until last night !! I started at 70mph and then blasted it....I backed off at 140mph because basically I don't want to die yet. Anyway, what suprised me most was not that it was going that fast, but the stability of the beast at such a high speed. It was rock solid...no shaking at all. Amazing ! Also, I noticed that at about 110mph, something like extra happens to the engine and the speed just rockets up even more. It's like there's a third turbo or something !! What do you guys think ? What has your top speed been in a Z....on a race track of course ? A.

Parked up in a Newport IW car park today and when I returned to my car a JSpec Black TT with Aftermarket alloys was parked right next to my car. Nice. So I put a note reading "get on the internet and go to www.300zx.co.uk and check out the forum.. Senna" under his/her windshield wiper. The person had a for sale sign on the car. Dont do it mate! Also met another Black TT Jspec auto owner at a garage in Newport and chased down and followed a Red UK TT in Ryde, met the owner, spot on fella. So that is 2 black TT's one red one and mine - oh and of course Simon H's making 5. 5 Zed on the Wight eh!! Hopefully meeting Si this weekend. I think we might have a mini-club s…

Have been reading the breather posts with interest, especially if they are similar to the type sold for Sierra Cosworths etc. Reason been when I had My Cossie I copied (fabricated) a virtual replica of the swirl pot design and heavy oil droplet design basically a pipe from the cam cover breaths through a seperator whilst heavy oil droplets collect on a splash plate and fumes/pressure released to atmosphere via a filter, oil collected is piped back to the sump. If this is the same idea I will make a test one up and try it,any views anyone. Jeff TT

OK, I've spoken to Johnny and this is where it's at. Here's the description of how it works, posted earlier by Smithy: Ok guys here's how the kit works, ON BOOST the one way valves are closed, Mio filters allow crankcase fumes to escape into the air induction to prevent build up, as per standard breather system. OFF BOOST, which is where the problems are, Internal valves inside the Mio filters are now closed preventing air from being drawn into turbo charger inlet pipes. One way valves now open, drawing a vacuum from the inlet manifold, into the engine crankcase via the rocker cover connections. This metered crankcase depression prevents oil from escaping pas…
