i think i have found the problem with my z after it cut out on me again so i removed the alternator and the big thick live power supply wire and charging wire had rusted off the back of it so TopSquads was right i am hoping that that is why the hicas light has been on too because when i put a charged battery on the car the light goes off but when it starts to go flat the hicas light comes on ans the steering goes hard then if you leave it longer the abs light comes on so im hoping when i put the alternator back it works (then i dont get the blame for wiring my new lights up wrong)

Hmmm following the 60k service thread by Tim I took the time to give my opinion and that`s all it is, and thats what the forum is for,and usually works well. However at the end of my post seems I have made the error of placing a link to a page on my web site that if I am not mistaken was requested by you guys on the forum some time ago detailing a few prices on services I do as an enthusiast not a trader.Question do we stop the links and the possible advantages they can have for some or shall we keep them but only on certain days? like when Mommy Duff is washing her hair. I think that the manual says 1-3 degrees for the front wheels. If you get a laser alignment setup will it be best to ask them to go for 1 degree if you want to reduce the wear on the inside of your front tyres. Do you agree? Paul

Since these few days of Snow and Ice I have noticed that there isn't much difference in temperature above 32 on the old A/C unit. It takes about 50 minutes to get to work and I can honestly say that the air doesn't really get that hot. Infact my shitty 416 rover gets twice as hot. Now, as this is the first car that I have had with A/C on it, I am not too offey in its mechanics. Am I right in saying that the gas that is put in is to help blow colder than atmospheric temperature air or does it help with heating aswell. I have also noticed that the "rec" button does not work now either. Should I be gripping my wallet or isn't it as bad as it sounds? One t…

I'm just getting this sorted for mine and I'm trying to work out if it's worth changing the tensioner. It's £250+ if I buy one from Nissan UK or $125 from Courtesy. If you've had a 60K belt change did you get the tensioner renewed? Comments or experiences please Tim

I jus got into a race with a Supra today, my body work is not done yet, but can't resist taking it out for a spin =T anyways it was barely sprinking and the road was a lil wet, pulled upto a supra tt at a redlight, reved the engine, and had a go, we hit about 70mph and got an entire 5 car lengths ahead, of course it helped that he peeled out a bit too much at the start hehe, but a kill is still a kill

...any body got any experience of replacing the rear rubber mount on an auto transmission. I ask because I've replaced the centre bearing, and rotated the prop to diff through 90 degree increments, and the vibrations are still there. It's worse after the car has been standing for a couple of days, which could suggests it's the rubber mount sagging (maybe it gets back into shape with use). I'm not sure whether it needs replacing as I've been told the auto mounts don't take the same stick as the manual mounts, so last much longer. ...any body got any experience, as it's an expensive part to replace if there's no improvement. thanks Jack

Just recently had ye olde gurgle, drained the water out, returned, so took the whole thing off and split the air filter and reed assembly to find the insides just utterly rotten and beyond repair. Thing is I would like to know the consequence of leaving the A.I.V off (what is it's purpose FFS).By the way it's the passenger side but If it's Ok to remove it I'll take the other one off on the driver's side....... thanx for any ideas...
